Of course with two little ones ready for some fun in the sun and rides and games there isn't too much time to enjoy the peaceful beach. Wyatt and William were up early and knew it was their time for vacation. They started out the day by bouncing on the bed. I am pretty sure that Wyatt is about to "grandma" Uncle John in this picture.

These are there every year we come and it is kind of neat to see how they are made. I have take a picture each year and I would love to compare them one day to try to find the subtle differences from year to year.
Getting some waves coming in:
First thing in the morning Pop pop came over and we all headed down to the dough roller for breakfast. Here is William giving Wyatt a hug on the beach:
For lunch we went to Atlantic Stand to savor those yummmy cheese dogs and fries drenched in vinegar.
On the way to the rides and games Wyatt bumped into this friend of Sugars. This doggy was clearly trying to steal Sug's style.
RIDES!!!!!
At Trimpers they had all sorts of great things for Wyatt and William. They both loved these silly mirrors which Pop-Pop picked them up and down so they could see the difference.
A very tall Wyatt:
Last year Wyatt wasn't able to go on this ride but this year he was bigger so he was able to join William. I think he is trying to prove that he is a lot bigger and more mature here because he looks awfully proper for a two year old:

This is the first car I have ever seen with two steering wheels. I wonder how that works?
William takes the wheel in the bumper cars while Wyatt points the way to go:

This was another ride Wyatt couldn't do last year so it was cool to get to see him out there riding the rides with William. They sure have more fun on them together.

But sure enough they LOVED IT!!!! They ended up riding on it a second time because it was so cool. The boys were screaming and giggleing like crazy everytime they would whip around the corner. When they were able to anticipate it their eyes got sooooo big and they both had this huge smile.
William and Wyatt and our new babysitter. We just left them here while we did some other rides...JUST KIDDING. Wyatt is trying to figure out who this guy is:
Next it was time for the Daddys to get their agressions out on each other by doing some nice healthy bumper cars. Of course each Daddy had their very own cheering section:

Once the bumper cars were over Uncle John asked William who won the race and William said, "I don't know I think the black car" that is a true diplomat there.After the bumper cars we decided to head outside for more rides. Here is Pop-pop in front of the cool moving pirate ship:
Wyatt and William rode on the mini-rollercoaster together:
William was ready to ride and got ride in the front car. It was cool to see them both together on the rollercoaster:

Everyone went through this cool pirate ship fun house. Here is Daddy taking the plunge of the ship!
Mommy chose to ride on the Merry Mixer with Wyatt. What a great idea, Mommy...
NOT! Just kidding, We both loved it and Mommy made lots of silly noises so Wyatt was laughing the whole time.
Uncle John, Nonna, and William all in one. Looks like they felt similar to Mommy.
Another big development Wyatt was tall enough to ride on these helecopters without Mommy. It was neat to watch him be able to get on by himself and to see him bigger than the measure mark when they measured him. Wyatt had to be 36" tall and last time he was measured he was at 38" (measured in old ponies in the Spring). We can't wait to see how tall Wyatt will be in February since we are hoping to take him to Disney then. He should be tall enough to get on some of the big rides like splash mountain. Then he could really hear Mommy makes some noises and screams.
Daddy decided that he was ready to get on some big rides. Here he is on the inverter. This ride was actually really cool because you spun around and around and went upside down. Mommy is thinking when we go back in a month or so she may give this one a try:
Arrrrgh matey it be the time to take a walk through Pirate's Cove:
"I aint scared of no ghosts" skeletons that is a whole nother story!
Wyatt and William told Nonna and Pop-pop just how scarey it was in Pirate's Cove. It was cute both of them were going a mile a minute talking about all the skeletons and scarey pirates in there.
The mirror maze where not only do you get totally lost but you get lost in a place where you can see a million 360 degree images of yourself (so Mommy stayed out in order to preserve her pride- that is all Mommy needs to be reminded that she has neither beauty nor brains). Here is Wyatt making his way through the maze without assistance:
Looks like Nonna got trapped or maybe there isn't good cell service in there- LOL.
After a little wait William decided to run back in and show everyone the way out. William saves the day:
THE HAUNTED HOUSE!!!!!
Wyatt on the second floor, he was so happy when we emerged outside and he thought he had survived the ride little did he know there was so much more to come. Poor thing:
At the end of the Haunted House Wyatt kept saying, "I did it!" . He was so proud of himself for being so brave and so was Mommy. Wyatt has been talking a lot about monsters and has developed quite the imagination so it was cool to see him be able to make it through the Haunted House.
Wyatt and William had a blast playing games together. Wyatt has been really working on his skee ball skills. He can now basically make the ball all the way up by himself without having it come right back to him which means Mommy's free play is now gone.
They were boarding up all the stores and restaurants on the boardwalk in preparation for Irene. When we went back to our room we got a call saying that we had to evacuate Boardwalk One by 7 pm. Nonna and Pop-pop got the same call at Sea watch so we all packed up our things and headed home.
It was a huge bummer to have to leave our vacation so early. Mommy really wanted to see Wyatt on the beach and was so excited to get to see him in the water in his swimsuit. Mommy and Daddy are thinking it may be a good idea to head back out there soon for another weekend so just you wait there will be more beach fun to come:

Wyatt and William had a blast playing games together. Wyatt has been really working on his skee ball skills. He can now basically make the ball all the way up by himself without having it come right back to him which means Mommy's free play is now gone.
