Animal Kingdom/Ohana

Today on the list for our Disney extravaganza trip was Animal Kingdom. Wyatt always loves to see all the different animals they have at the Animal Kingdom so he was excited to head over there.

Right as we entered we saw a bunch of kangaroos hopping all around.  Wyatt was totally into it!

Then we met up with Uncle John, Aunt Maggie and William and rode on the safari ride. Unfortunately they changed the ride a little so now it is just a safari and there is no longer all this cool Mombasa music playing (which we all loved getting down to).

We got to see an elephant drinking from the beautiful water:
It was totally neat to watch that amazing trunk in action:
A bunch of rhinos decided to gang up on these unsuspecting little creatures and had them on the run.  Apparently rhinos are VERY fast short distance runners:
After the safari we all grabbed a little lunch and sat out with a great view of Everest.  Wyatt is still too small but one day very soon Wyatt one day very soon...
Grandaddy and the two boys just hanging out:
Next we headed over to the dinosaur section of the park.  Wyatt was at first very very scared to get on dinosaur, but we kept telling him it wasn't scarey and he calmed down when he saw Mrs. Huxtable come up on the TV screen to do the intro.  Then when we were about to get on the ride he totally fought me and had a huge meltdown but it was too late at that point and he ended up getting on the ride.  Guess what, Wyatt LOVED it!!!! Whenever William gets on a ride and conquers his fear he gets to pick up a little toy from the giftshop rewarding him for his bravery.  I thought this would work for Wyatt as well.  So what did Wyatt end up picking out?

The most giant dinosaur he could find:
My proud brave little man and his not so little thank God we drove down so we could get it home dinosaur:
Next we headed over to Kali River Rapids.  This time I bought a poncho for Wyatt since he really hates to get wet on rides.  It was great and we all had such a blast going down the falls.  I think everyone else on the ride envyed all of us for our ponchos.

Then we headed back to the beginning where we caught the "It's Tough To Be A Bug" show just in time.
Wyatt and William with their bug visions glasses:

That night we went to Ohana which you may know by now is a favorite of mine in Disney so I was all psyched!!!  Here is Wyatt and I ready for some Hawaiian food & fun!
Oh and I drank this which will explain a lot of the pictures (both the one above and all of those below)
 The big Kahuna:
Wyatt and William walking in the children's parade:
At Ohana they play a game with all the kids where they have a race to see who can push a coconut with a broom over the finish line first.
Here are Wyatt and William ready to play the game (everytime I see this picture I sing in my head "I've got a lovely bunch of coconuts..."-you can thank me for that later)
Here is Aunt Maggie helping Wyatt push his coconut around:
Relay helpers, here is Uncle John helping Wyatt push the coconut:
And he made it to the finish line!!!
Mommy and Wyatt outside of the Ohana sign:
 Goofing around on the drums:
A nice family picture, you can see how happy I am after I laid it down at that meal (DELICIOUS!!!)
Love birds (this was the same hotel where we had our honeymoon):
William is such a sweetie to Wyatt they are just like brothers (did I mention they fight like brothers too, if not, they do.  But they also love like brothers so it's all good)

More paradise around the corner!
