Santa at Rehoboth & OC Winterfest of Lights

Every year we make a special trip to Ocean City & Rehoboth Beach to enjoy all of the beautiful lights and to ring in the holiday season at the beach.  It has become one of our most favorite traditions and this year we couldn't wait to get out there and see those lights (and enjoy some delicious Nic-o-boli too).

Of course we started out by having our Nicola Pizza fix.  Wyatt did a great job eating pizza and french fries and then after we were all super stuffed we headed over to see if Santa Claus was in.  Did you know he has a little Santa Shack built right on the beach?  I guess being from the North Pole even Delaware in the winter seems warm.

Wyatt sat on Santa's lap and when Santa asked him what he wanted for Christmas Wyatt told him he wanted a bicycle.

Nonna and Wyatt all bundled up by the Rehoboth lights on the beach.
Daddy, Nonna, and Wyatt by the seahorse light.
We walked around the boardwalk and then headed over to Ocean City to their Winterfest of Lights.  From all the years of going we knew it gets really cold on those trams so Mommy brought a bunch of blankets so we could all be really snuggly!  Here is Wyatt all wrapped up real tight in his Wyatt blanket:
Here are some of the lights from this year:

Mommy thought it would be fun to bring a big blanket for Mommy and Dady to share so they could cuddle up during the light show-- someone took all the covers....

You can see that it is pretty cold out there on those trams blankets or not so it was a real treat to get some hot chocolate afterward and warm back up inside the tent.  Every year it is so much fun to watch how they transform Northside park.  This year we went much earlier than we usually go so we are still up for going again- any takers?

Happy Thanksgiving!

For some reason this year I didn't take any real Thanksgiving photos except for this one.  Wyatt is dressed in his Thanksgiving outfit but thought he needed to add a fee more accessories, can you guess what those would be?

HAPPY THANKSGIVING to all!!!

One Last Day: Magic Kingdom & Hollywood Studios

It is always sad when it's your last day on vacation and it is never easy to say goodbye to Coronado Springs and that beautiful view.  It was warm almost the entire time we were in Disney so we were not excited to face the cold weather at home.  Grandaddy, Nonna, Uncle John, Aunt Maggie, and William were all leaving late in the afternoon to fly back and we had one more full day/night before it was time to get up and drive back home.

Here are some images of all around Coronado Springs:

Outside of the main building they have Donald and the three Caballeros.  Wyatt decided to make it four and got his fiesta on:

Ole!

After everyone checked their luggage we headed over to the Magic Kingdom for one last day in the park.

It was pretty neat because everything was now decorated for Christmas so it felt like we came for Halloween and stayed through Christmas.  The Magic Kingdom is always gorgeous at Christmastime but I will say it made me panic a little thinking that I was not at all ready for Christmas to begin.
 Look at how beautiful:
We timed it just right and made it to the Magic Kingdom in just enough time to see a neat show they had going on:

And at the end Mickey and Minnie raised up on a platform:
Then we all headed over to the Jungle Cruise since we hadn't done that right yet this trip:

Wyatt worried about those playful elephants getting him wet:

After a pretty full day in the Magic Kingdom we headed back so everyone could catch their bus over to the airport.  Daddy, Mommy, and Wyatt rested for a while in the room before heading over to Hollywood Studios to do some more rides.  Hollywood Studios was all decorated for Christmas too.  There were lights hung up everywhere!

Mommy and Wyatt just before we went on the Great Movie Ride.  Wyatt always loves that ride!

Then we put our name in at Mama Melrose and while we were waiting we decided to do the Muppet Vision in 4D.  And how great was it to see Fozzy Bear dressed in his King Henry VIII best:
It's like they knew I was coming:

 A little Christmas joy:
For our last ride we gave Wyatt a choice of anything in the park and he chose Star Tours.  Apparently if you ride on the last ride of the night of Star Tour you get a nice private ride with more  geeky Star Wars fans than you could ever imagine.  They had all ridden on the ride like 7 times that night.  Here is a little R2D2 and C3PO action:
Wyatt all jazzed for the ride:
 And ready for battle:

Tatooine action:

At the end of the ride we came out just in time to see the Jedi Training Academy battle with Darth Vader.  Wyatt was all cheers.  He LOVED it!!!  I know what we will be doing on our next trip to Disney:

The ship all decked out with the lights:

 More Christmas Magic:

We woke up nice and early the next day to get on the road.  It was pretty sad to say goodbye but we were def. missing our Baby Sugar and our home so it was a little bittersweet.   We always feel like driving back is an extention of the vacation because we get to still go through all those states and of course before we left the South we had to stop at a Steak n' Shake and get our fix in:
Until next time Disney which may be sooner than we know!
