This year we were invited by the Hamiltons to the National Cathedral to their annual Christmas pagent. All the kids are invited to participate in the show as a shepard, an animal, or an angel. We decided it would be cool for Wyatt to be a shepard. Mommy was really excited to get to make Wyatt a costume and was very proud of the result. This is Wyatt after Mommy finished making everything and fitting on him:
Mommy also made a staff for Wyatt and used stage make-up to give him a cool beard. Here is Wyatt and his friend, Ian, just before the show began:
The show was the perfect way to introduce the birth of Jesus to the children and it was very interactive for the audience as well. Just before each of the players entrances we all got to sing a Christmas carol about the event.
Here is Joseph, Mary, and the Baby Jesus about to make their entrance:
They had speakers who were telling the story as it went along. Here are all of the shepards nealing near the Holy Family:
All the kids listened and watched as more and more people flocked to come and see the baby and since they were on stage they were all perfect angels. Here is Wyatt looking up at his giant staff (what can I say I was a prop master for many years):

Wyatt and the Wise Men:
Elena was dressed as a sheep and I thought this shot was super cute:

This was great and I think may make it's way into our annual Christmas traditions. Wyatt did a really good job in the show and now if you ask him what he wants to be when he grows up he says:
A Shepard!
