This morning we checked out of Pop Cenury and since we had some time before we needed to check into Coronado Springs Daddy, Nonna, Wyatt, and Mommy all decided to venture over to the outlets and see what kind of cool things we could find. Around the middle of the afternoon we all checked into the Cornonado Springs Resort in Disney. We have been to Coronado a number of times so when they say "Welcome Home" at that resort we are pretty sure they mean it literally. It was nice to be back again and to get to share one of our favorite places to stay with our family.
As a tradition, each time we stay we take a picture by the fountain at the entrance:
They showered Wyatt with lots and lots of stickers and gave him a celebration pin since it was Halloween and we were celebrating:
While Daddy took a rest in the hotel Mommy and Wyatt headed over to the dig site to play on the playground there and to get into the pool for a bit.
Wyatt clearly digging resort living:
Wyatt ready to get into the heated pool for a bit:
We hit the pool at the right time because they were having a huge celebration/ dance party going on so they played lots of cool dance tunes for us to dance to in or out of the water. Wyatt was having a blast and at the end they invited everyone to come up and to color their own trick or treat bags.
Mommy and Wyatt by the stairs at the dig site. It is really cool because the water falls down the stairs so it makes a very relaxing sound.
After we swam for a bit Wyatt really wanted to play on the playground which is right next to the pool. It is all decked out in an Ancient Latin American theme so it was cool to explore all around the playground and see all the neat mystic looking art.
This guy can make some king sized bites Wyatt was trying to see if he could make a bite as big as him:
After we did all that playing and swimming it was time to go back to the room and get ready for the Mickey's Halloween Party that night. Wyatt originally wanted to be Jake from Jake and the Neverland Pirates so we bought him all the stuff for the costume but later he saw and Mario costume and just HAD to have it. Here is Mario playing Mario:
We all headed over to the Magic Kingdom and had dinner at the Liberty Tree. Here is Wyatt with William in his adoreable dragon costume:
When we finished eating there was a parade going on and then it was time to get our trick or treats going:
There were lots of new rides that Wyatt could get on at Magic Kingdom and Halloween was the perfect night for him to get on and give them a try. Wyatt did a great job getting on all the new rides without too much drama. He tends to be a little more like his Momma and he starts to get nervous when something looks big and intimidating but he made it through. Wyatt did Splash Mountain (and LOVED it) and Thunder Mountain Railroad with no problem at all. Here is Wyatt and William waiting in the line for Thunder Mountain Railroad:
And of course we had lots more trick or treating to do:
One surprise that we had was they had opened the new Fantasyland for a preview during the Halloween event. It was great because we had special tickets to see it later in the week too so we got to see it in the night and the day. Here are some of the night pictures:
They built a whole new castle for the beast that features a new restaurant called Be Our Guest. The sit down area looks awesome complete with snowy mountains outside of the windows and it even looks like it is snowing on the outside of the windows.
There is also a quick service side that Wyatt was totally into since he is obsessed with knights right now:
This is the castle all eerie and glowy:
They also have a neat tavern just like the one where Guston and LaFou go to after Belle rejects him. They have a Gaston fountain right outside:
They made these delicious drinks that look like beer. It is actually cold apple cider with a roasted marshmellow syrup and then at the top was a neat tropical tasting foam:
Wyatt shows off his Gaston muscles:
And William and I give our best Gaston poses:
Another section that was open to us was the Ariel's Under the Sea castle. It is pretty sweet and underneath there is a ride that has highlights from the movie and some of their best songs. Wyatt loves the Under the Sea song and was getting down with Mommy in the shell:

It was a great night full of spooky surprises and some neat storybook enchantment which is all you can expect from a Disney celebration. Wyatt loved doing the Haunted Mansion this time and had no problems going through. He also got to try a number of the big boy rides that in February he wasn't able to do.
And the Magic Kingdom was decorated perfectly for Halloween with eerie glows all around and happy Mickey pumpkins. It was such a big day/night that both the boys were passed out before we even made it back to the resort. I guess Mickey sure knows how to rock Halloween!
But of course the magic doesn't stop on Halloween much more to come!
