Happy Birthday Pappy!!

Wyatt got to celebrate Pappy's Birthday a couple of times this week when Mommy and Daddy had tickets to go see Rufus Wainwright in concert (front row center!!!!) and Pappy came to spend the night with Wyatt.  Then the next morning it was Pappy's Birthday so Mommy and Pappy took Wyatt to school and then had a great birthday breakfast.
Then tonight to celebrate, we all went to an awesome restaurant in Buckeystown called Alexanders.  It was amazing!!  The food was delicious and we had plenty of good company.  It was such a blast we can't wait to go back again!

Greenbriar State Park

What an awesome day!!!! Today we met up with some buddies at Greenbriar State Park to have some fun in the sun and get some swimming in. It was a great way to spend a sunny day and Wyatt had a blast getting to play with one of his best buds!
Wyatt loved swimming and he loved it even more getting to have a friend there with him.  He did such a great job and at Greenbriar it is nice because the kids could touch the ground in the entire first section.

After a ton of swimming everyone had some lunch and chilled out on the beach for a while.
Here is Wyatt and Cameron playing ball:

Wyatt had a blast and he can't wait to get to hang out more with his best bud Cameron and his family!

Never Too Far for Hot Dogs

Today Mommy and Wyatt decided to surprise Daddy with his favorite Fractured Prune doughnuts which started the whole thing!!  I guess the beach food was inspiring because before we knew it we were in the car and on our way down to get some delicious Atlantic Stand hot dogs and French Fries.  Uncle John, William, Aunt Maggie and her family were all at the beach for a family trip so it was even more perfect timing.  We were able to meet up with them for a little bit and the boys got to play a few games together.  What a great way to preview the beach before our big OC trip next month.

Wyatt all beach ready at the Atlantic Stand:

Mommy saying "Bring on the delicious hot dogs!" and Wyatt saying "Gimmie those beach fries"
After the Atlantic Stand we headed over to Marty's to play some games.  Wyatt always loves the bowling games.  Here he is playing the infamous Super Strike!
Love this, a new game to find out who's a "wheel watcher". Wyatt won this game and got a TON of tickets.  He stood there for so long while they were all coming out of the machine not knowing what to do:
Since we have a mini air hockey table at home (thank you to Shannon & Darin- Wyatt LOVES the table).  Daddy and Wyatt decided to take their match to the large tables at OC.  Wyatt really held his own against Daddy and did a great job getting goals.
 On Guard:
They played a couple of rounds and then Mommy stepped in to place a little DEFEAT on Daddy.
Wyatt the pilot, this kid is a good shot!:
After a while at the games we decided to head home but Wyatt begged us to let him play around in the sand.  He threw off his shoes and ran out into the sand ready to build a sand castle.
But Daddy had a bigger surprise for him
A giant castle in the sand all ready to play around in.  Wyatt had a blast running all through the castle and sliding down the slide.  There were a lot of other kids there playing games too which Wyatt loved.
Wyatt has some amazing upper body strength.  Look at him swing:
I think he would have swung on these ropes all day.  He loved pretending to be a pirate invading the castle and then swinging all around on the ropes.

Back inside for some more hide n' seek with the other kids

I know this preview got Wyatt totally jazzed to go to the beach next month.  I just don't know whether we will be able to tear him away from that castle the entire time we are at the beach again!
It was well worth the trip!  On the way back we stopped just before the bridge at the Americantina and had some dinner.  We had wanted to try one of those retaurants for a while and this seemed like the perfect time.   What do you think, is Wyatt turning into a beach bum or what?

HC POW WOW

Today, Wyatt and Momma met Ms. Marie & Mr. Mike at the Howard County Fairgrounds for the annual Pow Wow.  It is really nice because it is inside too so all the dancers can stay nice and cool and Wyatt got to learn a lot about Native American culture.
Below are some of the pics from the dancers and above is a dance where all the children (including Wyatt) were able to get up and dance too. For the kids dance they were supposed to be like a snake that evenutally coils up on itself.  They did a great job leading all the kids and Wyatt really got to show off his natural rhythm.  Wyatt really loved the drum circle too.   After watching the dancers it was fun to walk around looking at all of the crafts & jewlery, etc.  they have for sale.  And of course one of Mommy's favorite foods is Indian Tacos and they had them there!  They are so delicious!!! And Wyatt LOVED eating the nachos.  We all hung out and talked for a long time and then took Wyatt over to the area where they had a bow and arrow game set up.  The guy was really great and let Wyatt shoot a lot of arrows.  He taught Wyatt how to shoot the arrows and it was not too long before Wyatt really got the hang of it.  At the end they gave Wyatt his very own bow and arrow set.

Play day with Owen

Today Mommy and Ms. Mer planned a play day for Wyatt and Owen.  It was super cool to get them back together again since they hadn't seen each other in about three years!

This is a picture from their last play day:

They had a lot of playtime to make up for so they got started right away with a hug in the hallway and then right into the pool to do some swimming.  The boys loved swimming around together.  Then it was time to go to Annabelle's show and since these were two pretty excited three year olds, Mommy decided to stay at the Tolley's house and let the boys play while everyone went to the show.  It work out really well because the boys got some one on one playtime and got to get all their sillys out.

Here they are playing trains:

They got this game out and played trains all around the living room.  They had it all set up and they shared really well with each other.  Whenever one would take something they would apologize immediatly without any adult interruption (now that is what I call good friends).

Here they are watching a little Little Bill while playing with some more toys:
Of course we had several sessions of getting our dance on and man these kids could really bus a move.
A little hide n seek?

Yo Gabba Gabba sparks some more dance time, this time Owen's blankie got spunky and had to move to the music:

They knocked this cushion on the ground and his underneath:

And some wrestling, no worries, it was all in good fun and no one was hurt:

Crashing for a minute:
And I do mean a minute:

Back up and ready for more, Owen was actually giving Wyatt a hug here but the camera timing was a little off so this is just before they hugged:

Back to a little TV watching because Pokoyo is that awesome.  After a while Owen got pretty tired and crashed on the cushion for a little nap.  It was only a couple of minutes before everyone got back and then Wyatt got some one-on-one playtime with Aiden.  Then Owen woke up and they all played down in the basement for a while.  They were def. sad when it was time to go but there will be more play days in the near future- I promised- and I said that next time I would bring a friend for Aiden too who is 5 just like William!
