National Tree Lighting

Tonight Daddy, Nonna, Mommy, and Wyatt ushered in December by attending the National Tree Lighting in Washington DC.  There were a lot of people there including the President of the US and Kermit the Frog.

Here is Wyatt with Daddy and Nonna. It was a little cold so we all had to bundle up.

Here is a pic of the tree from where we were standing.  It was special this year because this was the first year they lit this tree.  The last tree was standing for thrity years and they would light that each year but it was hit by lighting and could no longer stand so they planted this one in its place.  What's cool to think is when Wyatt is Daddy's age this tree will be as big as the last.
Nonna, wyatt and Mommy after singing the Christmas Carols and watching Santa and Kermit.
It was a pretty heartwarming time.  The Obamas are very family oriented and it was really easy to tell.  Michelle Obama read a story "T'was the Night Before Christmas" to all the kiddies.  It was cool to see her husband and children all leaning in together and taking in the moment.  Wyatt loved all of the Kermit the Frog parts and kept shouting out for Kermit.  Everyone in the audience sang out to "Rudolph the Red Nosed Reindeer" and Wyatt was having a blast!  It was such a great time and amazing to see how gorgeous Washington can be at Christmas time.  It is such a beautiful city!
Wyatt is one lucky lucky boy!!!!
