Today was Wyatt's very first trip to the dentist. He wasn't worried at all becasue Wyatt knows he is a very good brusher. When we got to Dr. Broring's office Wyatt was so excited to see lots of toys!
He was a really patient patient while Daddy got his teeth cleaned. Wyatt did get a little curious though so we headed back to take a look. Dr. Broring let Wyatt help him by counting Daddy's teeth. Daddy had 14 teeth on the bottom and 14 teeth on the top- so they are all still there :)
Then it was Wyatt's turn. At first Mommy thought she would have to have Wyatt on her lap but he was really ready for his exam and he climbed right into the chair and laid back. Wyatt got really excited when Dr. Broring took him for a ride in the chair. He went way up. Then he showed Wyatt how to pour water into the cup for when he needed to rinse and taught him how to spit like a big boy.
Here is Wyatt all ready to get his teeth cleaned.
He did very good and held his mouth open very wide. They counted Wyatt's teeth too, Wyatt had 10 teeth on the bottom and 8 teeth on the top. His two year old molars aren't quite in yet so Dr. Broring warned Mommy and Daddy that Wyatt would be really cranky when those came in.
Wyatt had no cavities so he got to pick a special prize (a bounsey ball) and he got to pick a toothbrush. Wyatt was so proud of his tigger toothbrush. He kept talking about Tigger bouncing. Wyatt was very brave and did such a good job. Next appointment is in 6 months.
