Blowin in the Wind

Today Mommy and Wyatt decided to visit Grandma and Pappy for the day. Wyatt was very excited to see Pappy and to get to walk around with him. Here is Pappy and Wyatt in Grandma and Pappy's front yard. Afterward we went to lunch at the Olive Garden and then we headed over to Middletown Park to take advantage of the nice windy day. Here is Wyatt flying his very first kite!
The day before Mommy and Daddy bought Wyatt a cool car kite...
I know this looks a little Ben Franklin in the lightening storm but the day was actually perfect to fly a kite. The sky was clear and boy was the wind blowing. Pappy put the kite together and right when we got out of the car it started to take off.
The kite flew very high in the sky
and it stayed up there for a really long time
Mommy took over the kite flying duties while Wyatt and Grandma went over to the playground to play.
Wyatt proving he is one strong
and determined little guy. Look Wy-wy you're almost as tall as Pappy
Wyatt decided to show his daredevil side and went down the slide backwards, no worries he made it to the bottom safe and sound.
And then he was ready to go back again. Wyatt got to try everything, he even got to slide down the firepole (with some help from Mommy and Pappy).
Wyatt saw a bigger kid using the monkey bars and he couldn't resist. He actually did a really great job getting across
Wyatt getting in the rhythm...he'll be doing it all by himself before you know it but for right now Bubs needed Mommy to help a little.
It was a great way to get outside and play. We all had a great time hanging out, playing on the playground, and flying the kite. I know Wyatt is looking forward to some more windy days!

Great pictures and it looks like Wyatt has a wide walking stride just like his Pappy.
