A Historic New Year- Viriginia Part One

Since everyone had a long weekend Mommy, Daddy, Wyatt, Nonna, Pop-Pop, Aunt Maggie, unlce John, and Cousin William all gathered at the Great Wolf Lodge in Williamsburg, Viriginia to say goodbye to 2010 and welcome in 2011! My little Baby Bear was right at home with all the other bearsMommy and Nonna took Wyatt to see the show. Mommy and Yellow Feather go way back so Wyatt got a primo seat. He had a lot of fun groovin to the rhythm of nature:

Wyatt decided to put in his letter for next year...

On Friday morning, Daddy, Mommy, and Wyatt decided to take a special side trip to Jamestown. Mommy loves Jamestown settlement and was so happy to share Jamestown with her baby just like her Daddy did with her.

Look at all those flags representing each state in the nation.

While Mommy was getting the tickets Daddy and Wyatt decided to have a little fun in the gift shop, what do you think of our Baby Powhattan?
First on the tour was a movie about the Virginia company. Wyatt did pretty good during the movie but he was in a little bit of a talking mood. After the movie we headed to the museum which was way different then the way Mommy remembered it. They had a huge ship and all sorts of little villages and houses to go in. Wyatt had a blast running all around the museum. After the museum Wyatt got a real treat when we all headed outside:
Wyatt had a great time in the Indian village. There were all sorts of living historians on hand who were ready to give people lots of information.
That looks like one cozy bed

Mommy taught Wyatt how to grind that corn

Who ordered the grits?

After exploring the Indian Village we headed over to the fort. Here is Mommy and Wyatt about to go inside

This is one big church
Poor Wyatt got thrown in jail

Naa that was just someone's house, but what is worse than jail? Two very embarassing parents!
In the fort you can never be too prepared so Wyatt got his armour on

Knock Knock is anybody in there? I see you

The breast plate was alright but I think that helmut was a little heavy for our little solider.

After touring the fort we headed toward the ships.
Wyatt was thinking it was time for a nap, but Daddy had other plans

Wyatt ready to wage war on any not so friendly ships that's what a little too much pirate movies will get you...

Mommy and Wyatt playing on the deck

Ready the Rig Sir Wyatt and Sir Bearsis
Mommy and Wyatt explore the ship...that was a mighty tiny hole to get out of

I don't think Wyatt wanted to leave he seemed ready for some more

After Jamestown we met up with Pop-Pop, Nonna, Uncle John, Aunt Maggie, and Cousin William in Williamsburg for some lunch at Seasons restaurant. Wyatt was a big pill because he was getting kind of tired. He was able to get a little nap in the car before we arrived at

BUSCH GARDENS!!!!

Wyatt was excited to be at Busch Gardens he was saying "mommy Mommy Mommy" trying to get me to hurry on in the park so he could get to have some more fun.

Wyatt was super happy when he saw that the first ride we were going to get on was a Choo Choo. And when the conducter yelled All Aboard Wyatt followed yelling "ALL ABOARD"

Here is Wyatt and Momma "aboard"
The park was very nicely decorated with lights and elves andlook at this beautiful display! They had Santa Claus there too so that all the kids could thank him for their gifts. I told Wyatt to say thank you to Santa and he said "Welcome"- silly boy!
After visiting with Santa we all went on the Merry-go-round. We were told Wyatt had to get on a center horse but they were all taken so he rode in the carriage with Mommy and Daddy. I think he may have like this better. On Dasher...on Dancer...and so on

They had a beautiful tree and Christmas lights in front of the Festhaus

Before heading into the festhaus we all thought it would be fun to play some games. Wyatt started with the "select your present"game. The guy who was running the game was really nice and gave Wyatt an insider tip on which box to choose. -- SCANDAL! My honest little guy actually tried to pick another box but we nudged him in the other direction

And he got this giant Scooby-Doo!

We decided to play the ball toss game. This is always a good one because the kids can actuallyplay this one. Wyatt was one lucky little toddler when he threw the ball and it went right into the middle cup! He won a giant Frosty the Snowman.

Here is everybody lined up ready to take their shots
Next, we headed over to the Festhaus to have a snack and watch the Christmas show. The show was great and it was a great place to sit and rest for a little while.

Here are the dancers doing their thing, I bet it makes for a nice change for them to do this show:

When we emerged from the Festhaus it was dark outside and they were just starting their lights show called Tannenbaum. It was spectacular and really showed how intricate the decorations were.

Here is Daddy, Wyatt, Nonna, and Pop-pop enjoying the show in front of the tree:
After taking in the lights one last time on the skyride (which I am still terrified of) we headed over to what was prob. Wyatt's favorite part of the night-- the Sesame Street Christmas Show!!!! And waiting for Wyatt in the lobby was ELMO!!!!!!! Wyatt waited very patiently in line to see his Elmo and then he got to sit with Elmo and Abby to have their picture taken. He was one super happy Bubbas!
Then we headed into the show which was awesome. They sang all sorts of great songs and made it snow inside.Of course all Wyatt could say was Elmo Elmo Elmo...and of course Cookie Cookie Coookie.
Just as we were about to leave they started setting off the fireworks so we got to sit in our warm car and take in the show which is pretty Wyatt-friendly since he isn't too into the sound of fireworks.
Then we all headed back to the room where we counted down the minutes until 2011 and I got a very special New Year's smooch from Wyatt!!
HAPPY NEW YEAR!!!!
