A Historic New Year Virginia Part two

The next day we all got up bright and early and headed to breakfast. They had a a great breakfast at Great Wolf Lodge. Lots of stuff to choose from and they had an omlette station so you know Mommy was in Heaven.

After breakfast we headed back to the room to get in our swimsuits and head over to the water park. At first Mommy thought there wouldn't be much for the little kids to do but boy was Mommy wrong. There were all sorts of great things for little kids and big kids too! This is a view from their line to get on the big slides. Daddy, Uncle John, Aunt Maggie, and Grandma braved all the big slides and Cousin William was tall enough to go on the family raft slide so he got to do a big slide too. He also got to do the two slides coming off of the fort. Wyatt was too small for the slides coming off of the fort but they had their very own slide for the little kids and Wyatt LOVED those. You can see at the bottom the lazy river. Pop-pop, Mommy, Wyatt and William got on this while everyone else got daring. We soon realized the lazy river was not so lazy afterall. As you go floating along these big buckets fill up and then the water tips them over on the top of your head. There is also a waterfall with lots of water so they make sure you stay good and wet. William rode in the raft with Pop-Pop and he kept trying to head over to the waterfall to get drenched. Mommy and Wyatt seemed to be in the lucky raft that avoided the buckets and the waterfall.

The same kids who always seem to run from the waves every year at Ocean City had a blast in the wave pool! They loved sitting and having the waves come up to them and chasing the waves into the pool. I am thinking this year at the beach might be different than what we have seen in the years before.

Wyatt loved exploring the big fort Mommy and Daddy sure got their workout climbing on all the ropes and tunnels. In front of the fort was Wyatt's favorite, the gushing geysers! He was so silly he would run up to the geyser and roll his arms through it, and then he would turn around and shake his butt in them and water went flying everywhere. This made Mommy laugh really hard so Wyatt kept doing it. Then he would stand directly over the geyser and it would look like all this water was flowing from his swimsuit. It was a silly sight!

This is the kiddie pool. There were lots of things for the kids to play with in there and then of course the kiddie slides. It was a great time.

Afterward we all headed back to the room to get nice and dry and relax a little. Everyone got ready and we walked across the street to a very intriguing looking restaurant which turned out to be a huge score for Mommy because they were all about the spicy food. It was a spice lovers dream from Mexican to Caribean they had it all. Mommy had a rough time deciding what to get so it was good the restaurant came with some kiddie entertainment, here is Wyatt in his menu mask:

They also had fish which served as great entertainment for the kiddies while we waited for our food to come. After lunch we went back to the room and Uncle John, Aunt Maggie, and Cousin William headed home.

Mommy, Daddy, and Wyatt were pretty tired out from the waterpark (Wyatt actually fell asleep for a while during lunch) so they decided to spend the rest of the day taking it easy and napping. Nonna found a neat outlet store with lots of great sales and Pop-pop finished up his work and watched some sports. That evening Nonna, Pop-pop, Daddy, mommy, and Wyatt went to a yummy BBQ place to chow down on some good old Southern BBQ.

Wyatt didn't have much at the restaurant because he was saving room for Nonna's applesauce. He was really into that applesauce and even now he asks for it.

The next day we woke up and said goodbye to Virginia with one last good breakfast at Great Wolf Lodge. Mommy was thinking about going to Williamsburg that day but there was lots to do to get ready for the upcoming week so we decided that another trip to VA would have to be in the cards.

I can't think of a better way to start our New Year than spending with friends, family, and food (and we got a good history lesson in to boot)!!!
