Disney- We're Heeeeere

We decided to stayat the Pop Century for a couple of days before heading to Coronodo for the rest of the days since Mommy had never stayed there and had wanted to give it a try.  It was pretty neat and had a 1950s theme so it was great to go outside and get to hear the great classic songs from the 50s.  It was also cool that the pool was shaped just like a bowling pin.
Wyatt decided in the car to put on his Jake and the Neverland pirates wig and get out his sword to celebrate being on the Disney property:

After we rested a little in our rooms we all decided to meet up and explore the brand new Disney resort: The Art of Animation.  The resort is full of family suites and is themed in a number of Disney's more popular modern movies: Finding Nemo, Cars, Lion King, and coming soon The Little Mermaid.

The Nemo section was totally fun with a neat playground and really cool pool areas.  The boys were ready to get on that playground after being in the car for so many hours ealier that day:

And the adults got in on the fun too, hey, that many hours in a car can make you a little crazy ;)
 Crush and Dory swimming along:
A neat light fixture made with sketches of each of the represented movies in the Art of Animation:
 Wyatt's delicious cupcake:

After touring the Art of Animation resort we headed back to the Pop Century so everyone could get some rest and Mommy decided to take Wyatt swimming in 60 degree weather.  Yeah I am just that great of a parent, can you tell how much he loved it?
Actually the pool was heated so it was way warmed in the pool the only catch was I forgot the towels so it was a little freezing after we got out and had to walk soaking wet all the way back to the room.
That night we all went to Downtown Disney to get our shopping on and to see what kind of fun we could dig up.  These two were all ready to parrrrrrty:
And a party we found.  Apparently there was some kind of dance party going on where a guy was on stage leading people in some super fun dances.  And who could deny the evil of the THRILLER:

Ahhh look at those cute little Zombies!!!
Absolute hightlight of the trip:
Wyatt fizzeled out after Thriller but William and Nonna really wanted to get their dance on:

We did lots of shopping and looking all around and then had a quick snack before we headed back to the hotel so we could get an early start the next day.

GA On My Mind/ FL- Lets the Sunshine in

This year Nonna & Grandaddy, Uncle John, Aunt Maggie, Cousin William, Mommy & Daddy, and Wyatt all planned a big Murgolo family Disney World vacation for the end of October early November.  Although Mommy is not a big fan of flying that is not the actual reason we never fly down to Disney.  We actually really love to drive to Disney to get to experience the beauty of Southern America.  It is gorgeous in the South and always so warm and friendly.  Due to hurricane Sandy we ended up getting to share our journey in the car with Aunt Maggie, Uncle John, William and Nonna.  Although there was a lot of people in the car in was very nice to get to share with them all that we love about Savannah.

Due to the storm we left earler than expected and travelled down to Richmond where we stayed at the Embassy Suites.   Here are the boys holding hands walking into the hotel:

After a good night's sleep we headed on down to GA.  Daddy and Mommy were really hoping we could take everyone to Lady and Sons but they were only open for lunch & breakfast on Sundays so we went to our other favorite spot in Savannah, Huey's.  Hueys is a great little New Orleans style restaurant that features Mommy's favorite of all dessert, beignets!!

After dinner we all walked around Savannah so Daddy and Mommy could show everyone their favorite places to go while on the Savannah waterside..

Savannah is full of delicious candy stores where people are making the yummiest goodies right in front of you.  Nothing like a picture of the kids in a candy store:

Passing by the Lady and Sons:
Ok so I admit it after we walked around and got back to the hotel I ate the leftover beignets lying in bed. My face was covered in powdered sugar when I woke up the next morning.  Not to mention all the powdered sugar that was all over the sheets that night (guess what, it was totally worth it!).
The next morning we got to see a lot of ships coming through the water from our room window:
 Always so breathtaking:

It is always so sad to leave Savannah and everytime we go down there we swear we will be back soon and then stay in Savannah for longer.  That will have to be a priority because it is such a great place to visit and there is so much more for us to see but we had to say goodbye to get to all of our Disney fun!  Til next time Savannah!!

It isn't that bad a drive from Savannah to Florida but we def. still had time for more Disney movie fests.  It was nice to see the FL welcome center and know that waiting for us inside is a cup of fresh deliciously cold OJ!  Of course we had to do our traditional photo by the welcome sign:

I guess the boys had enough of the car and were ready to set up camp right there at the Florida welcome center:
 Enjoying their ice cold OJ:
And on to DISNEY WORLD!!!!!!

Wy's 1st Field Trip

Today Wyatt went on his very first field trip!  Wyatt was very excited to get to ride the yellow school bus and go with his class (Owls) to pick out a pumpkin at the pumpkin patch.  When he got home he told Mommy and Daddy all about how he got to be in Ian's group and pick out a pumpkin.  Mommy & Daddy can't wait for the summer when they can chaperone some field trips too and see all the fun in action!

Fall Sports: Basketball, Soccer, & T- Ball

Each year/season we try to get Wyatt involved in a sport to take advantage of the great weather or just to get him out playing and having fun.  It's nice at Wyatt's age to try all different types of sports and see which ones he really enjoys playing.  For the Fall this year Wyatt participated in Little Big Shots which had short sessions of soccer, basketball, and T Ball.  It was a great way to see which sport Wyatt would emerge really liking the most in the end.

Wyatt has played soccer for several years now.  It was nice because this was really a beginners class but since Wyatt has played soccer a lot he got to be a shining star in the class. Here are some of his soccer highlights:

Over the summer Wyatt played basketball and loved it so he was super excited to play again in the Fall.  He has really been working on his shooting and is really great at passing.  He just needs to keep practicing that dribble and he will be a great ball handler (although with his height he may end up under the hoop on the rebound like his Momma).  Here are some of Wyatt's basketball highlights:

Wyatt attended a lot of Daddy & Uncle John's softball games in the Fall and went to see William play a couple of times over the summer so when it came time for T-Ball he was all ready to get out there and show his stuff. I will say of all the sports he played was def. the best at the T-Ball When they would yell which base to run to Wyatt was always right on it and when it came time to hit the ball Wyatt hit it so far that all the parents were super impressed and asked if he had been playing for a long time.  One Dad said, "There's your hitter right there".  What can I say we have a lot of brut strength in this family.

Here are some of Wyatt's T-Ball Highlights:

Here is Wyatt on the very last day of getting his T-Shirt.  Let's hear it for Number 29!!!!!

So of all the sports, which do you think was his favorite?

Jumbos Cosmic Cowboy Adventure

Every year I have to say our favorite way to celebrate the Fall is our annual trip to Jumbo's pumpkin patch/farm.  It is such a great way to get to measure Wyatt's growth and to enjoy the great outdoors in one of the most beautiful settings in all of Middletown.  A trip to Jumbos is certainly a welcome home and a great way for Mommy to show off the best parts of where she grew up.

This year we had our friends Amy, Ian, and Elena  join us on our trip out and our family Uncle John, Aunt Maggie, and Cousin William.  William was the oldest so all of the kids were in awe of everything he would do.  It was so great to hang out with everyone and get to do all the cool stuff Jumbos offers.

Here is Wyatt's 2012 Jumbos photo:

A big change from his 2011 picture, huh?  We def. had a lot of growing going on this year.

Cousin William getting some love from the super soft alpacas:

All those crazy kids (William, Elena, Wyatt, and Ian):

And how about these for some iconic cowboy photos:
Wyatt has such an ease when he rides the horses.  I can't wait until he is old enough to take riding lessons because I know he would love to ride.  He just knows very naturally what to do on the horse and seems so peaceful when he rides.
Ian coming back in from his ride.  He did a great job holding onto the horn and you can tell he loved riding the horse.

Look at this little cowgirl!  Elena was great riding along and holding her hat. She is just showing that anything those boys can do she can do better!

Fun with faces:

Then on to conquering the giant mountain of hay!!

 The Toppers:

After a bunch of running all around on the cool toys and through the hay we ran up to catch the hay ride out to the Cosmic Corn Maze.  Man were we lucky we had Amy with us who is an educator becuase there were some tricky questions in the trivia clues but we were able to get the majority of them correct so we made it out of the maze in record time.  Here are the boys celebrating their success in the corn maze:

Jumbos has lots of running space too which the boys def. took advantage of and look at that gorgeous sky.

Heading up the hills and into the pumpkin patch to pick out our pumpkins for 2012!

I am pretty sure Ian and Wyatt are doing a square dance while they wait in line for their face painting:

Always a blast this years space adventure to Jumbos was awesome!!!  We were so glad to be able to share our traditions with our friends and Wyatt had such a great time getting to run all around the giant farm with his best friends.
