4th Birthday Party- Dynamic Duo Style

This year Wyatt and his best buddy Ian teamed up with some of their buddies to celebrate their 4th birthdays and of course to defeat the forces of evil at  Pump It Up.  It was very fitting because we have always referred to Wyatt and Ian as the Dynamic Duo. Want to see what happens when you have a bunch of superheros together ready to train and hone their skills so they can go out in the world and fight evil?

Here is Wyatt and Daddy waiting for all of the other superheros to arrive:

Look out bad guys the Super trio is in action: Superman (Ian), Batgirl (Elena), and Batman (Wyatt):

Pump It Up had lots of great bounce houses to play in and there was plenty of time to get to do everything.  Wyatt and Ian started out with the giant slide:

Is that Batman scaling a wall about to help a citizen in need?

The party was the perfect size for the adults to be able to get in the action and play with the kids too.  My favorite part of the party was getting to play with Wyatt, his friends, and their parents.  We all had such a great time getting into the action with all the kids and what a great workout too!

After lots and lots of play it was time to head into the party room for some refueling with pizza, juice, and of course delicious superhero cupcakes!!!

A Super Team:

After all that fun and play you would think that Wyatt would be exausted so you can imagine our surprise when this masked hero made his debut. Too bad Wyatt wasn't there to see Batman in action!

Happy 4th Birthday Wyatt!

Today Wyatt turned four years old! He has been super excited about his birthday and all week long he was counting down the days until he turned four years old.

To start out Wyatt's birthday weekend extravaganza Mommy & Daddy went to Fractured Prune and got super delicious hot dounuts.  Wyatt's favorite donut is called the carnival (you can also call it Rehoboth Beach).  Wyatt had four candles on his donut this year!

 Blowing out his candles:
After breakfast Wyatt got to open his presents from Mommy & Daddy:

He was super excited to play his new Mario Kart game:
And since Wyatt has been getting really into Star Wars he got the Star Wars Operation game:
Wyatt went to his friend Wade's birthday party (which had a Star Wars theme) and got to have lots of fun and jumping time with all of his friends.  He had a blast getting to play with all of his buddys in the bounce houses there and LOVED his blue Darth Vader cupcake!

That evening Nonna, Granddaddy, Grandma, Pappy, Auntie Mille, Ms Aida, Miss Aimee and Aimee's friend all came over to the our house to give Wyatt his cool birthday presents:

Wyatt loves his cool Angry Birds cap:
 Opening up more gifts:

 Wyatt's new Star Wars RC:

Afterward we all met up with Uncle John, Aunt Maggie, and William at Chevys.  Wyatt loves Chevys queso dip and their cheese quesadillas.

Wyatt and Pappy played rocks, papers, and scissors' (both hands must be the advanced version):

Wyatt's favorite part of his annual Chevys dinner is when all the singers come out and sing to him and he gets his somberero.  Between Wyatt and Mommy we have quite a somberero collection!

Afterwards we all headed over to Dave and Busters for some gaming fun:

Wyatt and William got to play a ton of games and had a blast together!

HAPPY 4th BIRTHDAY WYATT!!!

Ft. Hunter & Shopping at the North Pole

To continue on our weekend Christmas adventures, we headed up to Harrisburg, VA to Ft. Hunter where one of the last remaining children's Christmas shops is held.  We thought it would be really fun for Wyatt to get to pick out a present for Mommy and Daddy the same way we did when we were little.

The covered bridge at Ft. Hunter:

The sign inside the bridge:

They had a beautiful Christmas tree display in the Tavern building and a huge model train display:
Wyatt loved watching all of the trains:

The North Pole shop came complete with elves who took the kids back to the shop to pick out what presents they wanted for their moms and dads.  Here is Wyatt with his presents for us.  He is looking verrrry sneeky!
Daddy and Wyatt at the mansion house.  After Wyatt finished his Christmas shopping we headed over to the mansion house and did a tour.  It was neat because the house was built through many different centurys.  The front of the house was very high society Victorian but the very back was about 1700s.  They had lots of cool artifacts to see too and when the tour ended they gave everyone fresh baked chocolate chip cookies.

Here are our gifts all wrapped, labelled and ready for Christmas Day.
We'll have to wait until then to see what Wyatt thought Mommy and Daddy would like for Christmas.

The Tree and All Its Trimming!

For the past week Daddy and Mommy have been working really hard to get the house all ready for Christmas.  It is always such a joy putting up the tree and putting all of the decorations around the house.  Wyatt of course was psyched when he came home from school on Wednesday to see the tree all set up in the window.  He was so excited to go in and see the tree.  Then he saw that we got the train all set up around the tree and he was in Heaven.  He spent the whole rest of the night playing with his train set.

The first weekend of December it is our tradition to decorate the Christmas tree.  Wyatt as ready to get all of the ornaments out and to put them on the tree.  He and Mommy put up lots and lots of ornaments:

We listened to Christmas music while we decorated the tree and sometimes Wyatt had to get his Christmas boogie on:
Wyatt loves the Wizard of Oz ornament because it plays music from the movie.  He would play it over and over again and then start dancing all around the room.

Of course he had to check to make sure there weren't any presents under there yet:

Wyatt very proud of his Christmas tree decorating skills:

Daddy helped us put the angel on the top of the tree:
