NC Aquarium

Today Mommy, Daddy, Wyatt, Grandma, and Pappy drove out to More head City where there was a cool aquarium we all wanted to check out.  The aquarium had lots of neat activities for kids to do and different kinds of marine life to see.  They had lots of turtles there and did some assist hatching of eggs that did not hatch correctly and would raise little baby Sea Turtles there.  It was cool to see all the baby Sea Turtles getting lots of care and looking so sweet and healthy.  We had a blast going around and watching all of the animals and marine life.

A neat waterfall at the front of the aquarium:

Wyatt has invented a new game Blind Leap Frog:

A Virtual pond where you can moved the lillypads all around and see what swims out:

This guy looks very serious:
At the aquarium they had a children's area set up where the kids got to be mini scientists and save the turtles.  Wyatt and his doctor's jacket holding his poor sick turtle:

Wyatt running diagnostic tests on his sick sea turtle:
The diagnostic tests showed that the turtle had an infection.  Then Wyatt took the Sea Turtle to the treatment station where he cleaned the turtle up:

And administered antibiotics to help the turtle fight the infection:

Then Wyatt took his sea turtle to recovery:
 And carefully watched over him:
When his turtle was feeling better it was time to release the turtle back into its native waters.  So long little Sea Turtle:

At the aquarium there was a show on birds that we all decided to attend.  It was cool to see all of the different kinds of birds and their talents.  They also had some nice breezy wings:
This guy looked like he was ready to snap off someone's hand, good thing he isn't the real thing:

We walked out to the marshes in the back and got to see a cool birds nest.  Since the tide had gone out the marine life headed out to the ocean and there wasn't too many things to see so we headed back inside and got ready to leave for the day.

Outside of the aquarium there was a place to search for shark's teeth.  Wyatt thought it would be really fun so we got a bucket and he ended up finding a lot of really cool shark's teeth:

Then he brought his shark's teeth over to a poster and matched up what kind of shark each tooth:

It was a full day and there was still lots more to do that we didn't end up doing. We def. should do another visit out there to do all of the other cool activities and shows they offer and of course to check up on those baby sea turtles.
