Wyatt has been asking to go to Sesame Place for quite some time now and every weekend seemed to have been booked to the max recently until we finally had a free day to dedicate to Sesame Place. It also happened to be the first day of summer and was pretty packed. This was the first time at Sesame Place where there were so many people. Since most people seemed to be there for the water park portion we decided to save that section for another day and concentrate more on the rides and shows. That morning Wyatt got himself dressed and was pumped for Sesame.
Wyatt with Daddy outside of the Sesame Place sign:
Wyatt and Mommy in front of a cool Elmo bush"
They play all sorts of Sesame Street music throughout the park and this little man couldn't help but to feel that rhythm. this is Wyatt dancing to "The Bird's the Word" sung by the one and only Big Bird:
Mommy happens to love this guy right here, Murray from Sesame Street! "Bring out yer M's"...well what do you see in the picture that starts with M?
The line for lunch was pretty long so Daddy took Wyatt upstairs to find a seat while Mommy does what she does best (space out while waiting patiently in a very long line). Wyatt got to have grilled cheese- one of his favorites- and he got to keep the cool Elmo plate and cup too.
Wyatt's Elmo cupcake:
Sugar Overload?:
Mommy and Wyatt got on the Elmo fish ride and Wyatt was very excited to get an early pick of which fish he was going to get. Of course my little man chose the knight fish:
It was cool to do Cookie Mountain again with Wyatt being bigger than before. He was able to climb way up to the top all by himself and then would come sliding down so fast. He didn't need any help from Mommy or Daddy- it was cool to see him doing stuff all by himself but also made Mommy a little sad thinking about how much bigger he had gotten and that he isn't Mommy's little baby anymore.
This time Wyatt was even big enough to ride on the roller coaster and wanted to ride all the way in the back in the Pluto seat. We all rode the roller coaster together and it was really fun! Wyatt keeps saying he can't wait to go back and get on the roller coaster again. He also super surprised us by saying that he remembered last time meeting Super Grover outside of the roller coaster but last time he wasn't big enough to get on. We couldn't believe he still remembered that from when he was two!
Wyatt going through the big maze:
We went to Sesame Place on WETA kids day so we got to meet with Super Why and Alpha Pig:
Next up was a little photo sess with Elmo:
Elmo thought that it would be cool to style Wyatt's hair:
Next we headed over to Ernie's bed for some bed jumping fun:
Mommy, Daddy, and Wyatt on Big Birds umbrellas:
Daddy did lots of spinning while it was in the air and made us turn around and around a lot:
It was getting pretty hot outside so we headed inside for the Elmo's World show. We saw this show about 2 years ago and this time Wyatt was old enough to be a helper. Wyatt was so excited when he got picked to be on the Elmo's World show. He got to show off all his cool dancing moves for everybody in the audience, Elmo, and Mr. Noodle. At the end of the show Wyatt took off his smock and folded it very nicely and then laid it down on his seat- oh the power of Elmo! Here are some clips from the show:
After Wyatt's star role in Elmo's World we tracked down some more Sesame Street friends:
Wyatt and the Count:
What they don't tell you about how you get to Sesame Street is you gotta hop scotch on the way:
Wyatt with a very silly Bert and Ernie:
Some sliding fun:
Daddy and Wyatt chilling on the front porch:
Since it was a really really hot day Mommy and Wyatt decided to cool off with a nice run through the sprinklers:
Wyatt all soaking wet:
Afterward we went to a new Mexican restaurant that had just opened up called Tio Juan's Margaritas. It was really really yummy and once again we ended up in the hospital following an amusement park visit. This time it was for Daddy since he got a piece of steak lodged in his esophagus. The piece had to be surgically removed and poor Daddy had quite the ordeal. At least we can say that up until that point it was a pretty Sunny Day!
