Wyatt at Camden Yards

Today we are all super excited because Wyatt and his entire A team got to meet the Orioles team players, the O-bird, and got to go out on the field in a parade while the baseball players warm up. It was perfect timing that Pappy was visiting when Wyatt got to go to his first Orioles game and got to be on the field (not a bad deal for his very first day).

Before the game the teams all met up outside of the stadium and ate donuts.  All that sugar got them all pumped and they ran all around chasing each other.  It was great to watch the team get to play together.

The field just before the boys come out:

 It's the Oriole BIRD!!!!!
The boys walking all around Camden Yards:
And look Wyatt's on the Jumbo-tron!!!!!!! How cool is that?????

Wyatt and his teammates on the field giving high-fives to all the people in the front row of the stadium:

I'm just gonna say it again WYATT ON THE JUMBO-TRON!!!!!!!!!!!!

Pappy's Visit: Rehoboth Beach

Pappy is visiting with us for the next two weeks and so we were determined to plan for Pappy the best visit ever!!  We also had a very special treat because William is spending the night at our house tonight too!  We decided to take everyone to the beach for some yummy Nicola Pizza and lots of fun doing rides & games! Pappy hadn't been to the beach since the 80s so there was lots to do and see.  We all had a blast.  The boys were so super excited and were little crazies they couldn't wait to get out there on the boards and get to having fun!

Here is Pappy and Wyatt hanging out at the beach

William is now tall enough to go on the Sea Dragon and since Daddy is a huge fan of the Sea Dragon he and William decided it was time to get on.  They were very brave and sat in the second seat from the back.

Pappy sunk a few baskets and won this pokey ball for Wyatt:
William and his Uncle Stan enjoying the paratroopers.  They seem to really like that view up there:

And don't forget the BUMPER CARS!!!!

William is also tall enough now to drive the bumper cars in Rehoboth!   He actually drives a lot better than I ever did when I got my license.

Mother's Day in Rehoboth

Wyatt and Sugar got Mommy some really great cards for Mother's Day and Daddy & Wyatt treated Mommy to a super special day at Rehoboth Beach.

Of course our first stop was Nicola Pizza so we could fill up on delicious Nic-a-bolis and some yummy red devil pizza!! Nicola Pizza was giving all the ladies sweet carnations:

After eating we headed on the boards for lots of rides and games:

Wyatt sure has grown since we were in Rehoboth last:

Wyatt and Daddy on the Paratroopers ride- he was really scared at first to get on but with a little coaxing he was really brave on got on the ride.  He was glad too because he really liked it a lot!

Mommy & Wyatt on the helicopters:

Since we were on a baby ferris wheel Wyatt HAD to cool it up:

Wyatt was a superstar at the horse racing game and beat everyone all by himself and won a special prize.  He was so proud to have won all by himself- what a big boy!

 Out on the breeze beach:

Wyatt gives Mommy a kiss on the cheek- a perfect Mother's Day treat!!!

AHHHHH too many things to hold and we all come tumbling down:

Before we all headed out we HAD to stop by an ice cream shop and get some more treats!  Wyatt got a blue icee and look at that blue tongue!

Mother's Day

For Mother's Day this year we thought it would be a cool idea to drive around some of the old neighborhoods that Nonna grew up in and learn about what it was like when she was growing up.  It was so cool to hear about all of the different places she had lived in Maryland and to imagine how much they had changed from when she was a little girl.  One place we visited there used to be a drive-in movie theater where she and a friend would sit on top of the hill and watch the movies (since the drive in was basically in his back yard).  Now there were woods everywhere.  It was so neat to look out and see all those trees and then imagine the whole place clear with a giant movie screen and lots of cars all around.  We got to see where her old schools were too and drove the path she used to take when she was younger and would walk back home after school was over.  And there were these giant hills all around where she used to ride her bike all the time.  That is pretty brave since those hills were def. very steep looking.

After driving and looking around we decided to stretch our legs a little and we visited the Air and Space Museum for a little while:

After we hung out for a while at the museum it was time to head up to Columbia for a delicious dinner at Nichi Bi Kai!  It was a very special way to spend the day!

Busch Gardens and Wyatt's First Stitches

We have had the best weather this year it hasn't been too hot so far and we have had really nice breezes.  It seemed to be the perfect day to take advantage of our Annual Passes this year and head out to Busch Gardens.

Here is a giant owl, Wyatt told the owl that he was in Owls class this fall- I am thinking the bird was impressed:
Daddy, Uncle John, and Aunt Maggie got on the new rollercoaster the Griffin.  It was pretty outstanding looking and it holds a lot of people too.

 Wyatt and William goofing around:

Wyatt running toward dragon land:

 A cute pair!

 Climbing on the dragon's tail:

This is the last picture of Wyatt with a clear forehead:

A gross alert warning- the picture after this one is a little gross- you have been warned-LOL!!

So you see the rocks that this Verbolten car crashed into?  Well just in front of the car there are some jagged rocks and Wyatt tripped and fell face first into the rocks.  He bled a lot but they contact the emergency people from Busch Gardens and after the emergency response person cleaned off the blood on Wyatt's forehead she saw that there were two pretty deep cuts and had a park emergency vehicle meets us behind the Oktoberfest building and transfer us to the medical building. The nurse at the medical building cleaned Wyatt's forehead again and applied steristrips with glue as a stitch to hold the cuts together.  Because the cuts were pretty deep she recommended that we take Wyatt to see a doctor at the hospital to make sure that he didn't need any additional stitches.

Here is Wyatt in the hospital emergency room with the steristrips.  We left Busch Gardens and since the nurse said the strip she put on there could hold them for at least a few hours we decided to go to the hospital near our home.  Apparently lots of kids had fallen and hurt their heads on that day and so we had a pretty long wait.  This was the first time we had to wait that long for a child in that hospital but it turned out to be good we waited so long.  Several hours later we were brought to a room in the emergency center and they turned on some cartoons for Wyatt to watch.  When the doctor came in she cleaned off the steristrips and cleaned the area really really well.  At first she thought she may have to do additional stitching but at second glance she noticed that Wyatt's forehead was already starting to heal (thanks to our extra long wait time) so she applied another set of steristrips and really held the cuts closed.  Wyatt was a huge trooper and did such a great job.  The doctor also must have known what Wyatt likes because she gave him a bunch of bandaids to keep over his steristrips- Captain America, Wolverine, and Angry Birds bandaids- what a lucky guy!

Here he is back in bed, "all warmy and toasty" as Wyatt would say, with his cool angry birds bandaid and a big old smile on his brave boy face:
