A Family of Pumpkins

We have had our pumpkins around for a while now and everyday Wyatt has been coming home and seeing all of the pumpkins and labelling each of them: Mommy, Daddy, Wyatt, and Sugar.  He was very excited when he heard it was time for our family pumpkins to find their faces!

Daddy cut the tops off of each of the pumpkins and with each top Wyatt got more and more excited!

And then it was time to take the top off and see all of those yucky guts.

Then it was Mommy & Wyatt's turn to get to work.  Mommy and Wyatt had to scoop out all of the guts.  Wyatt was a little less excited about that.

Then Mommy started in on the carving of the pumpkins.  Wyatt drew on a piece of paper what he wanted Mommy to make for his jack-o-lantern. Wyatt loved looking at their new faces!
Then it was Daddy's turn to come down and give his pumpkin a face:
Now it's time to meet the pumpkins!

Mommy's pumpkin had large circle eyes and a big smile with two teeth.  He is quite the friendly pumpkin!
Since Wyatt was so into labeling the pumpkins we thought it would be neat to carve in each person's pumpkin who it belonged to.  This is Mommy's:

Since Wyatt has been learning a lot about emotions in school he got to tell Mommy what kind of face he wanted for his pumpkin.  He wanted a sad mouth, circle eyes, and a circle nose.  Wyatt said he wanted his pumpkin to have four teeth:
 Wy-wy's backside:
Then came baby Sug's pumpkin which we specifically chose a white one so that it would look like Sugar.  Mommy carved this one too and tried to give it Sugar ears and little Sugar eyes.  She has two little teeth which makes her look a little like a bunny.
 Sug from the back:
Of course Daddy chose to do an angry pumpkin.  I love the pumpkins trekkie eyes!!
Dad is very hard to carve:

All the pumpkins turned around:

It was a lot of fun carving the pumpkins and this was the first time that Daddy, Mommy, and Sugar all got to carve pumpkins together (well sort of).  It was cool for all of us to show our creative sides and show off some of our art skills (LOL).
