One of our ongoing projects/ mom-Bubs bonding time has been cooking. Wyatt is a huge help in the kitchen and since he has such a food aversion we thought it would be a good idea for him to learn about different foods and textures by helping Momma with her food explorations.
This time we chose to make calzones and strombolis. Daddy likes the stromboli types and Momma loves calzones. Wyatt helped Momma by rolling and cutting the dough.
Taaa Daaaaaa!!!!This is Daddy's stromboli. It was actually really easy to shape. The top has this delicious melted garlic seasoned butter all over the top and inside was fried pepperonis which Wyatt thought were really smelly and ground beef. Momma added in some special pizza sauce inside and a special secret mix of cheeses!
Momma's calzone was HUGE!!! Did I mention that we allowed Wyatt to cut the dough? Momma's calzone was full of special cheeses, sauce, hot sauce, ricotta cheese, green peppers, onions, and since there was so much left over ground beef.

The meal was delicious and Wyatt is really getting to be a wiz around the kitchen. I wonder what our next creation will be....
