Wyatt was super excited when he saw the trains. He loved all the really old trains the most.
Wyatt admiring the Lego Thomas train. I know he wanted to take that whole thing apart and build a huge tower but darn those red ropes.
One of Wyatt's favorite things to play with is a train table. He could spend hours at a train table going around all the tracks. There were a bunch of Thomas train tables set-up and a ton of kids playing. Wyatt fit right in and they were all having a blast with all the toy trains. He just loved playing with this and was quite mad when Momma pulled him away so he could meet...
SIR TOPPEM HAT!!!!!
Sorry for the blur but here is Wyatt preparing for his Gettysburg Address:
They had a fascinating exhibit on trains and how the were used during the Civil War. Trains carried supplies to the troops and reinforcements. It was pretty sweet to see all the wax figures too. They sure threw Wyatt for a loop who would run up and try to talk to them. I have to brag too Wyatt was more interested in the Civil War exhibit than he was in all of the Thomas stuff. I was really impressed with how curious he was and how interested he seemed in all the neat facts.
Next we headed out to take our train ride on the Thomas train.
Here is the friendly Mr. Conductor
And the very excited Wyatt. He was so surprised when the train started running!
Momma and Wyatt on the train.
Wyatt giving Momma a big thank you hug for his special day.
Afterward there was all sorts of rides, games, crafts, and music to enjoy and Wyatt was determined to hit each one. He was so great during the whole day until it was time to leave then he got a little testy. I know he had a blast and there was so much there for him to do and see we couldn't possibly get it all in so I had to promise that we would go back again real soon.
