What I am Most Thankful For...
This year we were reminded of the true meaning of Thanksgiving- having another year with family. We are very fortunate to have our families live close by and sometimes we take for granted that because they are nearby we could see them anytime.
This year we spent Thanksgiving at my Grandma's house. We had quite a spread and I must say over the years our group has really grown. It was great to share the holiday with family and friends. It was also neat to think back on the many Thanksgivings past and remember when at our table sat my cousins and I as little kids. It really touched me this year to think that Wyatt was now a part of this tradition and though some may come and go that "Grandma's House" is always there. What a true gift to be thankful for, that she has been there for each of us throughout all these years. This year I was reminded of what I am the most thankful for, the health of those around me.
Here is Wyatt and his Cousin William all ready for their Thanksgiving dinners. They watched the parade in the morning and were very excited when Santa Claus came out at the very end.
Here is Wyatt in his Thanksgiving hat that he made in school. I don't know why he is a little scowler here.
After the meal Wyatt battled Uncle Steve for his sofa...continuing on another tradition in my family where the kids always try to keep Uncle Steve from his nap.
Sammy gives Wyatt a new perspective.

Grandma, Aunt Carol, Katie, and Stan put together a puzzle my mom brought. Grandma was very surprised when in the puzzle was all put together and it was a picture of Wyatt and Mommy. We will have to get some more puzzles to do with her soon.
Wyatt relaxing after eating a lot of Sammy's yummy brownies. He really loved them. I said "Wyatt do you want a brownie" and he said "heck yes!"- LOL that crazy Bubbas.
In honor of Thanksgiving I wanted to end this post with a prayer (which I am usually against virtual prayers but that is a whole different post that I am not even trying to get into right now):
In honor of Thanksgiving I wanted to end this post with a prayer (which I am usually against virtual prayers but that is a whole different post that I am not even trying to get into right now):
God, we gathered this year all together to thank you for the gifts you gave us througout the year. This year Katie is about to make the third of us Cousins to complete their college education. As she completes her course studies and heads into her future careers we pray that you keep her safe and bring her luck as she enters the career world. This year we were very fortunate to see Sammy not only find love with a fantastic girl, Allison, but to ask her to join the family through their marriage. We are very thankful to be able to welcome Allison into our family and for all the happiness that she has brought to Sam, and look forward to their union in August. Lord, we are thankful that you brought my mom through her recent health scare and that there was no cancer present. Thank you, for giving my Dad strength to support her throughout her health issues and for seeing to it that they celebrated their 30th wedding anniversary in the happiest place on earth. Thank you for keeping my Uncle Steve and Aunt Carol safe and healthy throughout the year and for giving them strength to support their children in their choices in life. Lord thank you for bringing Steve's friend Eric to our table this year and pray that you hold him and his family close this year so they may overcome any trials that they may have.
Lord thank you for the opportunity Stan and I have recieved to save money toward a house. We are grateful we get this chance to watch our nephew grow and to watch him become more like a brother to Wyatt. It is a blessing to both families for them to be so close. We thank you for Wyatt and for guiding us through the trials of parenthood. We have recieved countless blessings this year and always just when we need them. We thank you for keeping Wyatt safe and healthy. It is such a blessing to have him in good health and always such a bright light in our lives.
Lord thank you for keeping my Grandmother healthy through the year and for protecting her on Thanksgiving. Thank you for seeing her through this ordeal and for the strength you are giving to her. It was so touching to see her last night in the hospital with a smile on her face. We pray that as she faces the tests from the hospital and her recovery that you stay by her. Thank you Lord for all these blessings that you bring.
Amen.

Wyatt's Gilly Gillys
When Wyatt tickles you he always says "gilly gilly gilly gilly" which we have no idea where he got that from but we just love it. So we always say that Wyatt's got the gilly gillys. It is very rare to catch a gilly gilly on tape but today we are pleased to share with you when Wyatt caught the gilly gillys in Epcot.
Disney World the Prequel- 11/6 & 11/7
To celebrate Grandma and Pappy's 30th wedding anniversary we decided to take a trip down to Disney World. What a better way to celebrate 30 years of marriage than in the happiest place on Earth? It was a fantastic trip that was jam-packed with activities. Since flying is sort of a risk now-a-days and a huge expense we decided to drive down. It is always more fun driving I think because you get to see different states on your way down.
I know what these guys are looking at...
This year we began our drive very early in the morning with a super tired Bubs but Mommy and Daddy were rarein to go.
The drive down went very well and before we knew it we were in Savannah, Georgia checking in at the Hyatt hotel. What did Mommy love the most about Savannah? THE BENIGETS!!! They were so super delicious! After a yummy meal in Savannah we decided to walk around the streets. There is always hustle and bustle in the area and the historic streets and buildings are so beautiful next to the waterside. As you can see I still have Georgia on my mind.
We caught this show just before dinner. They were really great cloggers. We thought Wyatt was going to join the show- this boy was ready for his spotlight.Mommy chowed down on those benigetsAnd wore her powdered Sugar goatee with pride. Momma loves her Southern cooking.
This is the view from our room in Savannah:
After a wonderful nights stay and an awesome Southern breakfast we hit the road for Florida. It is sort of a tradition to stop at the Florida Welcome center for some delicious Florida Orange Juice.Wyatt loved the kiddie corner they had and sat in the kiddie chair enjoying his fresh cup of OJ.For his second cup (yeah he went back for more) he decided that sitting at the kiddie table was the way to do it. I bet if we had let him he would have gone back for a third cup.Look up ahead! Not too long after we left the Welcome Center did we arrive at the Bonnet Creek Resort. It was amazing. The place was so big and had these gorgeous wood accents. We were def. in Heaven.
After resting up a bit in the hotel Mommy, Daddy, Bubbas, Grandma, Pappy, Uncle John, Aunt Maggie, and Cousin William all headed over to Cinderella's Royal Table for a celebratory dinner since that was the night of Grandma and Pappy's actual wedding anniversary. The castle looked so beautiful all decorated for Christmas. Here is the happy couple now:
This is Daddy, Mommy, and Bubbas outside of the Magic Kingdom.

I know what these guys are looking at...
Wyatt and William meeting Cinderella.
You can tell the boys aren't too sure about that knight in the background. They both look like they think he is going to attack. LOL.
At Cinderella's Castle they gave the boys these plastic swords to play with. I love this picture it reminds me of King Arthur pulling the sword from the stone.
Of course no King is complete without a Queen or a princess...this was by far Wyatt's favorite princess, Snow White.

Why was she his favorite? Because she gave him this...
And it didn't wash off for days.
The dinner was delicious! After dinner we headed down to the lobby where Daddy and Mommy got a nice picture taken.
and Wyatt and William ganged up against that nasty Knight--get 'em guys get 'em!

Disney World Part 1 11/8, 11/9, 11/10
Tag Team Back Again... Wyatt and William were super fresh O.G.s ready for their day in the Magic Kingdom. On the morning of the 8th we took the monorail over to the Magic Kingdom. It was so great to see the kids all jazzed up for the park.
We began our day at the Magic Kingdom by having breakfast at the Crystal Palace. It actually worked out perfectly because we got in the park before it offically opened so we all got to see the Magic Kingdom basically empty. It was nice!
The Crystal Palace has all sorts of great critters for the kiddies to meet and greet:
Like Tigger:
And Eeyore- look Momma got in on the action too. Maybe he was trying to avoid Daddy after the legendary kiss in 2005- awww poor Daddy.
And of course you gotta have the Pooh Bear. The boys were starstruck!
Afterwards we started to tackle the park. Of course we had to get a shot of the Castle in the daylight- although I think Wyatt was just ready to do some rides.
The first ride we did was the Pirates of Caribbean and who was waiting for us at the end but Goofy!
Wyatt really liked the jungle ride because he really love elephants.

After he saw that he stuck his little arm up and made a little elephant noise. This is Wyatt and his trunk...
It was super fun this year to get to ride on some of the thrill rides with William. Mommy is always scared on Splash Mountain but riding it with William was a blast! He would just let loose and scream all the way down the hills and then start to giggle at the bottom. At the big hill he was so funny and had the best expression on his face.

Mommy convinced Daddy that he had to see his nephew in action so we all got on the Thunder Mountain Railroad.
Poor Wyatt can't do all of that yet but he was a trooper. Here he is rolling on a river with his cousin William.

Mommy and Pappy just love the Hall of Presidents and apparently Wyatt must share our love. He was loving that Presidential seal!
After the Hall of Presidents we headed over to the barber shop for Wyatt's first Disney haircut.
Mommy and Daddy thought it would be fun to get a special Disney Christmas do. What do you think?
We had such a long day that after we grabbed a bite to eat we went back and rested at the hotel for a little while.

That night was the Christmas Celebration at the Magic Kingdom and man was it a blast. Wyatt's absolute favorite part was jamming on the dance floor. They had this awesome dance party and Pluto took Wyatt by the hand and showed him how to get down!
Some of the cast members there even sang to Wyatt. It was a great experience and was the perfect place to let the kids play while we all watched the fireworks.

Afterwards we did Peter Pan's Flight
and caught the parade...
Even the head Mouse was there
And of course Daisy and Donald weren't too far behind.
Chip and Dale were playing in the snow
And Cinderella and her Prince to follow..(sorry it rhymed)
Clarabelle Cow was baking up the sweetest of treats
While Woody and the Round-up gang hit the streets
Trumpeteers made a grand entrance
And of course they brought lots of presents
Santa Claus showed up in his sleigh
And he was the end of the Once Upon a Christmas Parade-Horray!
we were perfectly positioned to head on over and see some bears
And ended our night with a trip around the World--the Small World!
Wyatt was fascinated!
The Park was beautiful all decorated for Christmas and it was so cool to see that they really pull out all the stops.
The Castle was of course the center of attention and was the highlight of it all!
Pappy and Grandma did great in the park all day long and I think by the end of the night we were all ready to get home and get ready for a good nights sleep.
On 11/9 we all headed in different directions. Mommy, Daddy and Wyatt slept in and then went to Universal Studios Islands of Adventure.

Wyatt says LET THE ADVENTURE BEGIN!
The best of the best was of course the land of Dr. Seuss
They had a carosel filled with some crazy characters
Look Stan and his other twin...
Thing Two meets Thing Three
And we jumped into the Harry Potter Village. It was quite a site to see and I must say the ride was pretty awesome.
Mommy and Wyatt in the Hogwarts School for Good Looking Wizards
Wyatt went ape over the Jurassic Park area. He loved looking at all the dinosaurs and even got to watch a Raptor hatch.
Daddy played a little trick on Wyatt. On the side of this dinosaur there is a thing that controls the head and makes your voice go all Saw. He made the dinosaur move and talk to Wyatt. I think Bubbas was quite surprised that the dino knew his name.
After a long day in the park we headed back so Mommy and Daddy could get ready for their date night. We had a great meal at Kat Kora's Kouzinna. And Mommy had one too many sangrias, as you can tell from the next pics.

This is Mommy and Daddy on the Boardwalk. It was very romantic. Then we crossed into Epcot through the back entrance and had a little fun celebrating 15 years of the Food and Wine festival. I had already had my share of wine but hey I had no problems celebrating 15 years of food at Epcot.
On the 10th we all went to Epcot. Wyatt was lucky and got to have a world class view of the giant golf ball.
Then he found Nemo
And Dory!
Wyatt loved Journey into the Imagination. Here he is picking his nose trying to see what music that movement will make--I am sure whatever song he made it was gold!
Wyatt also loved running around on these little squares. Each square played its own musical instrument to a neat beat.
By far one of the best restaurants in Epcot is Canada. Mommy, Daddy, Bubbas, Grandma, Pappy, Uncle John, Aunt Maggie, and Cousin William all dined there for lunch.

Wyatt and Momma had fun with breadsticks:
It was very silly!
Then we went over to Captain EO but first we let Wyatt play by the fountains.
He was so cute. Everytime he would get splashed he would be so surprised. Then he would go running through all the water on the ground.
One Happy Little Bubs
We spent all day at Epcot and before we knew it everything was dark.
Which was perfect because Duffy Bears come out at night for their meet n' greets!
