M-M-M-MONSTER JAM!!!!

Not too long ago Wyatt and Mommy were walking through the mall and we saw an ad for the Monster Jam show at the Mariner Arena in Baltimore.  Wyatt really really wanted to go and was super excited when he found out that his best buddies Ian and Elena and their Mommy and Daddy were all coming with us to the Monster Jam show.  All week Wyatt would say "MMMMMM MONSTER JAAAM" like an announcer.

We had never been to a monster jam show before so we didn't realize how loud it was going to be.  Fortunately they were selling ear protection at the show, look at these cool tire earmuffs:

There were all sorts of cool Monster trucks there and they did a ton of crazy stunts.  At the beginning of the show all of the monster trucks went head to head in a race and this one went so fast and turned the corner too quickly and rolled right over.  They got the driver out of the car through the window and then they brought over the construction vehicle and tied a tether to the monster truck and pulled it up on it's wheels.  It was really cool!

The coolest part of the show was actually the freestyle section where they were able to go through all the different obstacles and tried to get as much flair in as they could.

 Look at all that air:

The boys were really into the SPIDERMAN monster truck!  They would always get so excited when Spiderman drove out onto the course.  Whenever they saw the truck coming they would scream to each other "Spiderman, look, it's Spiderman"  and of course they cheered him on like crazy:

This Monster Truck was super cool. It was called higher education and was a cool little school bus on these giant wheels.  The driver was also from Hagerstown,MD too!

This car really wowed 'em with all those sparks:

The boys super into the all the trucks:

A little bit of lean:

By the end of the night the boys were getting pretty tired and a little slap happy so we left right as the show was ending.  Despite all the noise and the chaos we all had a blast and the boys have been non-stop playing with their mini monster trucks.

One last time- "MMMMMMMMMONSTER JAM!!!!"

Happy 6th Birthday William!

Today we celebrated William turning 6 years old!  We headed over to William's house for a big party filled with lots of family and all of William's friends from school.  There were a lot of kids all ready to play and party! When all the kids arrived they were greeted at the door and then headed downstairs to play all the cool games that William has in his basement.  All the kids had a blast getting to play games together.  Then they all headed up stairs where a Magician was waiting to dazzle and amaze them with lots of super cool tricks.  All of the kids were really into the magic show and loved getting to see all of the tricks.  Then they all got to get up and dance a little to get their energy out.  At the end of his show the magician made all the girls a pretty balloon flower and the boy a cool balloon sword. Of course all the boys were playing with their swords and were all over the place.   That was the cue time to head over to the table for some yummy birthday treats and to sing Happy Birthday to William!   After all of William's friends left we all rested a little and then it was time for William to open up all his neat presents.  Everyone had a great time and William was  a great birthday host!!!

Happy Birthday Grandma!

To celebrate Grandma's Birthday we decided to do a last minute birthday surprise trip to North Carolina. So on the 25th we headed out and were in Virginia in enough time for a late lunch early dinner.

Which meant we got to get our Steak n' Shake on!!!!!

Wyatt did a great job at Steak n' Shake and ate all of his chicken finger bites and all of his applesauce bites!!!!

After Steak n' Shake we drove many many more hours until late on the 25th we called Grandma on the phone and talked for about 5 minutes while Wyatt jetted out of the car and knocked on their door.  It was such a fun surprise and Wyatt was super psyched to get to see Grandma and Pappy's house.  Of course Wyatt wanted to play play play when he got there.

After hanging out for a bit we headed over to the hotel where Wyatt got some more wiggles out:

 Stretched his legs:
And then headed to bed so that the next morning we could head back to Grandma and Pappy's house (after we stopped at the nearby Bojangles- where Wyatt ate his first whole biscuit bites!!!):
Kernel and Marley ready to play!!!

We hung out for a while and chatted and played played played!!!

Then we headed into the Old Town New Bern section which was very beautiful even on a rainy day like this one.  Since the restaurant we were planning to go to wasn't open for service at that time we decided to check out some other options and ended up at this delicious tavern.  The decor was totally cute and the food was SUPER!!!  It was a great way to surprise Grandma for her birthday and to get to see more of New Bern.

HAPPY BIRTHDAY GRANDMA!!!!!

Swimming Lessons- Level I

We have been thinking for a while now that it is time Wyatt get more familiar with the water and start swimming lessons since summer is around the corner and we def. want him to be confident in the water when the pool opens in May we knew it was better to sign him up for lessons now.  Wyatt started with the first session at the swim school and has really been improving.

Here are the pictures from his first session:

Purple Pride- Superbowl Style

Although as a family we usually go the way of the 'Skins they weren't able to go all the way to the Superbowl this year so we had to root for our hometown team, Ravens, that did make it!  Baltimore was super excited and there were banners everywhere and everyone was excited to see Maryland bring home the championship.  Aunt Maggie & Uncle John hosted a big Superbowl party filled with lots of delicious goodies and of course some super fun Super Bowl Rivalry! It was quite a game too (or so I am told since I decided to break from watching after the half and play with the boys in the loft) the power went out and everything came down to the last few seconds. We all did watch the end of the game however and it was intense.  They played their hearts out and the Ravens WON!!!

The boys were wearing their purple (Wyatt had his Skins shirt on underneath just in case the Redskins had to step in at the last minute and play in the Superbowl):
 Cousin-ly Love:
Baltimore Ravens vs. San Francisco 49-ers snacks (Both teams represented in delicious cupcake goodness):
