Happy Birthday Grandma!

To celebrate Grandma's Birthday we decided to do a last minute birthday surprise trip to North Carolina. So on the 25th we headed out and were in Virginia in enough time for a late lunch early dinner. 

Which meant we got to get our Steak n' Shake on!!!!!  

Wyatt did a great job at Steak n' Shake and ate all of his chicken finger bites and all of his applesauce bites!!!!

After Steak n' Shake we drove many many more hours until late on the 25th we called Grandma on the phone and talked for about 5 minutes while Wyatt jetted out of the car and knocked on their door.  It was such a fun surprise and Wyatt was super psyched to get to see Grandma and Pappy's house.  Of course Wyatt wanted to play play play when he got there.

After hanging out for a bit we headed over to the hotel where Wyatt got some more wiggles out:

 And then headed to bed so that the next morning we could head back to Grandma and Pappy's house (after we stopped at the nearby Bojangles- where Wyatt ate his first whole biscuit bites!!!):

We hung out for a while and chatted and played played played!!!

Then we headed into the Old Town New Bern section which was very beautiful even on a rainy day like this one.  Since the restaurant we were planning to go to wasn't open for service at that time we decided to check out some other options and ended up at this delicious tavern.  The decor was totally cute and the food was SUPER!!!  It was a great way to surprise Grandma for her birthday and to get to see more of New Bern.

Happy Valentine's Day!

Valentine's Day is the perfect day to eat lots and lots of chocolate....oh and tell people how much you love them of course!  

This year Mommy made a delicious chocolate cake to celebrate: 

And of course we all got to go through Wyatt's Valentine's bag from school and see all of the neat treats Wyatt got from all of his friends:

Swimming Lessons- Level I

We have been thinking for a while now that it is time Wyatt get more familiar with the water and start swimming lessons since summer is around the corner and we def. want him to be confident in the water when the pool opens in May we knew it was better to sign him up for lessons now.  Wyatt started with the first session at the swim school and has really been improving.

Purple Pride- Superbowl Style

Although as a family we usually go the way of the 'Skins they weren't able to go all the way to the Superbowl this year so we had to root for our hometown team, Ravens, that did make it!  Baltimore was super excited and there were banners everywhere and everyone was excited to see Maryland bring home the championship.  Aunt Maggie & Uncle John hosted a big Superbowl party filled with lots of delicious goodies and of course some super fun Super Bowl Rivalry! It was quite a game too (or so I am told since I decided to break from watching after the half and play with the boys in the loft) the power went out and everything came down to the last few seconds. We all did watch the end of the game however and it was intense.  They played their hearts out and the Ravens WON!!!

Happy Birthday Grandaddy

Tonight we met Granddaddy  Nonna, Auntie Millie, Ms Aida, Miss Aimee (and friend), Aunt Maggie, Uncle John, and William for a delicious dinner at Kings Contrivance.  It was soooooo super good and we had our own private room by a beautiful fire in the fireplace.
