Park Hopper- Pt. 1 (Middletown Park)

Today Mommy and Bubba went to Pappy and Grandma's house and then we all went to Middletown Park to play on all the neat toys there. This is what Wyatt's day was like:

Take Me Out To The Ball Game!

On the same day as our visit to the park there was a baseball game going on right next to the park. Needless to say the baseball game peaked Wyatt's interest. After Grandma told Wyatt all about the game of baseball we decided to take him over to a vacant diamond and let him run the bases.
Here is Grandma cheering Wyatt into first:
And teaching him to tap the base:

Now onto second:

And Pappy brings us into third:

But on the way to home Wyatt got a little distracted:

And decided to be the pitcher:

After our adventures we went over to the 50's style ice cream shop in Middletown and cooled down with a nice banana split! Yum-my!

Wyatt's 1st Haircut

Wyatt's hair has been getting pretty long recently so we thought it was time to visit Cartoon Cuts in the Columbia Mall for his very first haircut. Wyatt did a great job. He cried a little when she used the razor but loved it when she combed his hair. After the cut they gave Momma a bag with his curls inside and a certificate commemorating his first haircut. After Wyatt was finished, then she cut Daddy's hair, and then Mommy's too.
Wyatt sat on Mommy's lap so he would feel nice and safe

2010 Lupus Walk

On Saturday, Daddy, Nonna, Mommy, and Wyatt participated in a walk for Lupus in DC. The weather was nice and breezy not too hot and not too cold and all the streets were blocked so we got the chance to appreciate how beautiful DC really is. I am glad Wyatt's first trip to DC was like this. Now on to the race...Nonna, Wyatt, and Daddy as they gear up for the 20 block walkJust as we approached the Capitol Stan put Wyatt on his shoulders to continue the walk and all of a sudden the photographers were all following Stan taking pictures from the front and from the back. You can also get a little look at the T-shirt Stan designed for the HGS team, isn't it nice? Not too long into the walk and who should I see? BENJAMIN FRANKLIN!!!!!!!!!! So handsome! On the way back from the Capitol here is Daddy, Wyatt and Nonna getting ready for the big finish.Crossing the finish line, Wyatt kept pointing to the balloons, I think he was really excited when he saw all those balloons at the end. After the race we decided to see if they had any T-shirts left over for Wyatt. All they had was a medium size and thus the Lupus Wizard was born

Everyone thought Wyatt looked so cute in his big T-shirt they kept asking if they could take pictures of him. He looks so passionate here, perhaps we have a future politician on our hands. Nonna, mommy, and Wyatt pose after completing the walk

Wyatt had a very good time and was very very proud of himself

First Night in Our New Diggs

Today, we moved in with John and Maggie so we can save money to buy a house. One of the great things about living with them is the fun that Wyatt and William get to have...this is just one example.

Moving...moving...WE MOVED!!!!

It was literally just like that. We had been talking about and doing things gradually and then the weekend of April 10th it was time to move it all. It was a huge shock but is the perfect thing for our family. And John and Maggie were the biggest help during the whole process. They helped to get the house spotless and all ready for the prospective buyers. It was great to have that kind of support going through such an involved process.

Tuppins welcomed Sugar instantly...here they are chillin together on the stairs

Stan and I are so grateful for this huge opportunity and the amazing things that it will mean for our family. And it is so nice to know that we have so many people on our side, willing to not only help with the work but give us so much support emotionally as well :)

Baskets, Bunnies, Hunts, and Family= Easter Time!

This year the Easter Bunny was very clever, he decided to put Wyatt's Easter basket on his Elmo chair in front of the window. Wyatt showed that bunny what a smart little man he can be and found the basket immediately! Here is the basket untouched.
Wyatt all dressed and ready in his Easter outfitWyatt, Mommy and Daddy headed to Cozy restaurant for Freeze Easter traditions. After we ate lots of yummy food at Cozy it was off to the park for the Easter Egg Hunt that has been done by the Freeze Family for generations.

Away they go... off to find some eggs.
