Big Smiles!!

Wyatt is such a big smiler when mommy doesn't have the camera handy but fortunatly he couldn't resist smiling at daddy's antics.
Just look at that happy little face!

5 Weeks- it's Actual and Satisfactual

This was a tough week for poor Wyatt, mommy & daddy tried out a new formula and Wyatt was not happy- not happy at all. He spit up less but was super fussy and never seemed to be full so mommy and daddy decided to go back to the old formula. Wyatt was instantly cured thus proving the old adage "if it aint broke, don't fix it".
Now for a nice week-in-review!

Baby Wyatt at 5 weeks.
I knew all that burrito making would come in handy some day!

Wyatt is now using the big bottles mostly since he has been working toward drinking 4-5 ounces at every feeding. Snack on, little dude, snack on!

His cheeks have really started filling out and the wrinkles he had when he was born are almost gone.

Mommy's attempt at a photo session. He looks so handsome!

Wyatt had a big moment this week. Mommy and Daddy have been trying to get Wyatt slowly acclimated to being in his crib. We just place him in there and let him hang out with his little mobile friends for a few minutes.

You can see he doesn't mind one bit...those bears are just too interesting!

Mommy got Wyatt all tuckered out with too much play in his playplace.

Wyatt also had some special vistors this week.

Mommy's Cousin, Sam, came to have lunch and play with Wyatt. He was all excited when he got back from Iraq to come and see him. He also brought Wyatt a special gift. A little big but Wyatt will grow into it.

On Saturday, Grandma Murgolo came up to take care of him while mommy and daddy had some special "me" time. It was very nice and we were told that Wyatt was very good for his Grandma. Then Grandpa Murgolo met us at the house with Cousin William's swing and we all went out for a bite to eat. Wyatt slept peacefully through the whole thing so the next day we put some batteries in and gave it a whirl.

Here is Wyatt in the swing...I think the elephant and bears got his attention more than the swinging
On Sunday we got Wyatt all bundled up and took him to lunch with Grandma and Grandpa Freeze at the Macaroni Grill in Frederick. Then Mommy and Daddy drove out to West Virginia for a nice drive and a quick look at the Beall Air community (not much doing in fact they are right where they were almost two years ago). It was the first time Wyatt crossed state lines and he did it twice in a row!
Here is Grandma Freeze holding Wyatt (she didn't want to put him down the whole meal...he's such a sweetheart)

1 Month Old

Today we had Wyatt's one month check-up and he is growing fast. He weighed in at 10 lbs 7 oz., was 22" long, and his head measured 39 cm. Then Wyatt showed off some of his new skills to her. He lifted up really far and tried to show her how he can roll over from his belly to his back but she stopped him before he rolled off the table. Wyatt couldn't wait to show her his world class smile (always charming the ladies). He has been really interactive with us.

Wyatt's Favorites:

Favorite Games this month are itsy bitsy spider (get a smile everytime), pat-a-cake, and Snugglesauras (momma makes a dinosaur with her hand and has him slowly crawl from Wyatt's feet to his face and then when the dinosaur comes closer we identify his species as a snugglesaurus and he start snuggling with Wyatt.)

Wyatt's favorite songs this month are: "This Little Light of Mine", "Now Let the Weeping"(Gospel At Colonus), and "Everythings Alright" (Jesus Christ Superstar).

Favorite Sites to See: Sugar, no doubt! Wyatt loves when Sugar comes to do tummy time with him. He lifts his head up sooo far! He also loves to stare at Momma's surprised face, he even tries to imitate it a little--super cute.

Now onto the photos:

4 Weeks- From Newborn to Infant

Wyatt has now reached the big time, he is no longer in the "newborn" category and is offically an infant. Its funny how he changes day-to-day, he has recently become so much more interactive. He has been smiling whenever he sees me and responds to my silly little games (thank you babycenter for helping me find some great newborn games) and he has been so much more alert. We have been working on his tactile responses making him touch different toys and feel different textures while also doing a lot of muscle building by having ample tummy time.
Now on with the fun:
Oooh this is pretty rare usually he is a pretty smiley guy but he here is in a fuss.
Can we say attitude? Talk about a hrumph!

Holding Momma's hand always makes me sleep better.

"Whose that in the mirror?" Yeah...big development in week three, Wyatt became aware of the toys around him and was having a very good time on his caterpillar mat.

Momma and me playing while I point to the camera...and she thought I wouldn't notice.

Look at those eyes...what a little lover.

Momma and me sitting down for some wind down time after a long day and big feeding. And I'm spent.

Happy New Year!!

Ok, so this post is a lot belated so I apologize. For Wyatt's first New Year we went over to Uncle John and Aunt Maggie's house and played with cousin William. Before we left daddy and Wyatt surprised momma with the perfume she had wanted.

Wyatt's First Bath

Stan and I gave Wyatt his very first bath on December 28th. Wyatt was none to happy about it but it was very adoreable. I was extremely nervous but Stan watched the nurses give him a bath in the nursery so he knew exactly what to do. Wyatt's cord fell off earlier that week so you can see his brand new belly button.

Already ready to take over and give himself a bath Wyatt took the washcloth from daddy.

Wyatt getting a little shower.
Once he was finished in his bath Daddy handed him over to a very tired mommy so she could get him all ready for his big day at Auntie Millie's house.

He looks too cute in his little hooded towel.

So fresh and so clean!

Pleasant Dreams, My Sweet Angel

I love to watch Wyatt sleeping (which he seems to love to do) because he always has this perfect little smile on his face. I decided to share my joy with everyone by including a video I took with my camera of him in his slumbers. Pay no attention to the narrator (I'm a nerd we all know this). Enjoy!
