Now that I'm One.../What a Toddler Can Do

I can do all sort of very neat things like maybe (ha I love you Phinneas and Ferb)...
Walk around with nothing around to hold on to, and getting really good at it I might add now I can go from one side of the room to the other.
And now I have teeth! So I can chew more and more table foods. I can even eat goldfish...yummy yummy yummy. And Mommy and Daddy have moved me up to Gerber graduates meals where I can eat all sorts of good meats and veggies. Right now I am getting four teeth all at one time and it really hurts so I have been quite the pill for Mommy and Daddy. Lovie?
Daddy worked all day to set up a nice new bathroom surprise for me. Now I have my very own big boy tub! I don't need any chairs or anything just me and the water. They got it all Sesame Street themed too because I love Sesame Street!

I couldn't wait to make my splash!
And although Mommy and Daddy are a little late on this now I am sooo happy because I get to ride in the front of the grocery cart so now I can really flirt with the girls at the grocery store!

I have my very own big boy car seat too (this is the one in Daddy's car). It is really nice and comfy I just have to get used to getting in and out all the time. No more carrying me around in the carrier.

I can do all of this but I am safe to say that I can still be charged as minor in a court of law, take that Judge Judy.

A Holly Jolly Christmas!

On the day of Christmas Eve we decided to finally "free" our tree and to see how Wyatt would react. At first he wasn't sure what to think but once he realized that gate was really gone he started decorating the tree with all of his pacifiers. He loved to go over and lightly touch each of the branches and to cuff his fingers around the lights. Here is Wyatt inspecting the tree.
Grandma and Pappy came over in the early afternoon and Mommy and Grandma got to cooking while Pappy got the task of playing with Wyatt. There was lots of food to cook and when daddy got home from work in the evening everything was just about ready.
Here is Grandma and Pappy sitting down to Christmas Eve dinner. Yummy!

Wyatt ate all sorts of good food but he just loved Grandma's stuffing! After he was done he stretched out and put his feet on the table. (He is such a man).

After dinner everyone lended a hand and got everything all cleaned up and ready for the next day. Mommy and Daddy set out LOTS of cookies for Santa since Wyatt was so pooped and went to bed nice and early. Wyatt slept all the way through the night so that Santa could do his duties. Somewhere around 11 or 12 we heard those sleigh bells and some "Ho Ho Ho(s)" from the living room.
When we woke up what did we see....

Wyatt was ready for some present opening and was so happy on Christmas morning. Here he is in crib all ready to walk out and see what Santa brought him.
And boy was Santa good to Wyatt this year!!!!!

Wyatt loved his sled from The Parsons. We can't wait for more snow so we can try it out, I know he will have a blast.

In the earlier parts of the morning Wyatt was having a ball opening the presents. He thought ripping up that paper was really something great.

Wyatt and Momma on Christmas looking for the next present

hmmm....which should it be?

Then it was time to play with the presents and Wyatt was even more excited!!!

Here is Wyatt with his Christmas Eve present (each of us got to open one present for Christmas Eve) Wyatt got this neat Elmo chair that spins around and sounds just like Elmo when it talks.

After we opened all of our gifts, went through our stockings, and had our fill of breakfast cookies then it was time to get ready to go over to Cousin William's house for Christmas Day. Poor Wyatt got up extra early for Santa and had been doing lots of playing over the past couple of days so he didn't last too long before he needed a nap...

Daddy and Mommy in William's room checking on Wyatt.

No worries though Wyatt didn't sleep through all of Christmas Day about two hours later he was up and ready to go!

He did lots of playing with William, lounging with Miss Aida, and walking with Nonna and Pop-pop.
I really like this picture because in profile Wyatt and William really look similar.

Merry Christmas to All and to All A Good Night!!

If At First You Don't Succeed...

Try...

Try...

Again...

(I am quoting William in the last movie. He is so cute when Stan goes over to their house he always says "It's-a-Stan". We were just saying that and it got Wyatt all giddy and well giddy up he started to walk!)

Walkin in a Winterwonderland!

Today was a very big day for Wyatt. Not only did we get lots of great snow for Wyatt to play in but he decided to take his very first walk across the room. He walked from one of his toys over to the TV without any help. I was so proud of him and kept clapping. He has been getting up and trying to walk for a while and has done some steps here and there but this was amazing. I am poised with the camera for more walking and promise to post anything I get.

So after my little brag session here are the pictures of Wyatt playing with the snow.
Here is Momma letting Wyatt touch some of the snow.
Wyatt was trying to catch the snowflakes on his little tounge.
Momma was wearing her snow pants so she made herself a little seat for her and Wyatt in the snow.

Daddy did a lot of shoveling out in the snow (although most of the snow is back now) so Mommy and Wyatt came out to give him a little break. Here is Daddy and Wyatt enjoying the snow.

All of us outside. I think by this time Wyatt was ready to go back in and have a nice bottle.

Happy 1st Birthday Bubby!

Today we celebrated Wyatt's birthday by taking cupcakes for the daycare class and then Mommy and Daddy took Wyatt in his new big boy car seat to Outback for a yummy dinner. They brought him out his very own ice cream sundae (Mommy stole the cherry right away -force of habit). Wyatt loved his sundae. He kept pointing at it and opening his mouth really wide.

Here are some pics of Wyatt's class enjoying their cupcakes- well all except for Wyatt who was not feelin the cupcakes.
This is Wyatt's buddy Wade getting ready to have his cupcake.

Josie couldn't wait to get hers. The second I brought them in she kept begging to have them. She followed Miss Talia all around while she was holding the pan. This is one satified chica.

Here is the bunch enjoying their special treat.

And my favorite little cutie Gianna who will one day be my daughter-in-law !!!

WYATT'S BIG FIRST BIRTHDAY PARTY!!
On Sunday, December 13th we celebrated Wyatt's very first birthday party at Uncle John, Aunt Maggie, and Cousin William's house. There were lots of people who came to celebrated Wyatt's big day so he was very excited to see all the people and have lots of cool big kids to play with. Momma and Aunt Maggie decorated and got the party all set up early in the afternoon. Cousin William was very proud of all the chairs in the living room he kept saying "Aunt Grace, look, chairs". Then Grandma and Pappy came with all of the yummy food! Nonna arrived with LOTS of cool balloons (one of Wyatt's favorite toys!) And we were ready to get this party started!

Here is Wyatt (about to pick his nose-LOL) with Nonna on his big day.
Ms. Aida and Miss Aimee sitting by the pretty Christmas Tree watching Wyatt giggle at Mia doing a dance.

Poor Wyatt couldn't walk with the big kids just yet so they all decided to get down and crawl with him. Here are Mia, PJ, and Wyatt getting their crawl on.

Grandma had prepared some really fun games for the party. Here is the "first" game with lots of trivia AND buzz cards.

Then we played a neat game that was kinda like Hot Potato only you wanted to get out because you got a present. Everyone enjoyed getting to open their very own present.
Next it was time for the cake. Mommy and Daddy even made Wyatt wearing this embarrassing crown-- hey we gotta get all this kinda stuff in now before he has the chance to say no.Wyatt samples his first piece of cake. We all waited for the mess but he was very neat and clean. He even used a fork after a while, such a sophisticated one year old.

William is a cake eating pro now that he is almost 3. He is trying to show Wyatt how eating cake is done. Aunt Maggie set up a special chair for Wyatt to sit in while opening his presents that was just the right size.

Wyatt loved playing with all of his neat gifts, and was really glad to have help opening his gifts from William, PJ, Mia, and Ty. That way he got to play with everything as it got opened, what a system.

Wyatt's party was lots of fun, and everyone had such a great time eating, playing games, and getting the chance to all get together. It was a very special time for Mommy and Daddy too. They are so proud of their little bubby and feel so lucky because they know he has so many people who love him in his life.

Welcome Christmas, Welcome HEY!

My first plastic tree! You can't see it but Wyatt has his "Save a Tree" shirt on. Here is the tree up and ready for the decorations. Wyatt loved to stand and hold onto the gate and look at all those lights. Our tree with all of the ornaments on. Wyatt was a big helper. He kept picking things up and dropping them on the tree branches. All along the bottom were toys and pacifiers.
Ha I love this picture it reminds me of "A Christmas Story".

SNOW!!! Yeah for snow. Here is our little man all bundled up and ready to go!

Nonna, Pop-pop, Uncle John, and Maggie, and Cousin William met us at the Columbia Mall to go see Santa. Here is Daddy and Wyatt sending Wyatt's Christmas wish List off to the North Pole. He has been a very good boy this year Santa, no need to check that twice. Wyatt was so excited to see all the snow coming out! He wanted more, more, more.

Wyatt was great with Santa Claus. I admit I was a little worried so I had him watch some movies with Santa Claus to get him used to everything but he seemed pretty cool with it. "What do you want for Christmas little boy?" "I dunno."

Cousin William was pointing to Santa and saying "Santa, Santa" but got a little shy when it was time to meet the big guy so he had his Mommy and Daddy take the picture with him. He was so excited to see Santa I know he is going to be very excited on Christmas Eve!

After our visit to meet Old St. Nick we decided to check out the "Symphony of Lights" show. They had all sorts of neat light displays like teddy bears in a snowball fight and toy soldiers shooting off a cannon. Here are some highlights.
